Kentucky Derby...and Beyond?

...and the winner was a 30/1 horse who has gotten beat by 20+ lengths in each of her previous 3 races.

Top horses on the numbers for race 4 at Mahoning Valley, which is a two turn race at just over a mile;

Race 4;

1- 398.4
2- 444.5 Even Echo 10/1 ****
3- 438.2 Divine Sonet 8/1 **
4- 455.1 Father Dennis 3/1 *****
5- 394.3
6- 434.7 Geppetto 2/1 *
8- 412.8
10- 443.1 Anthem 9/2 ***

==========

Went with the #2 Even Echo here across the board with him sitting at 13/1.

Got him home 3rd at least, although with the two top choices finishing 1st and 2nd the show payout isn't going to be much.

Top 5 on the numbers for race 6 at Mahoning Valley;

#8 Spanish Candy 5/1 - 411.8
#10 Reward's Girl 6/1 - 409.6
#1 Grace to Glory 5/2 - 408.6
#7 Tavrida 8/1 - 403.7
#2 Eye On the Money 3/1 - 398.2

Looks like it could be a great betting race with at least a couple of those there going off at good prices.

@Sharkey I haven't been able to watch, but looking at the results it seems like inside runners are having a lot more success today?

That's been the case in the sprint races, T, which sucks because that's the exact opposite of the way it's been playing the last few weeks. The rail trip looked good in that two turn race I saw as well.

I'm going to try the #8 to win and place, and then play a #2, #8, #10 exacta box since they're the three best prices of that above group.

The #8 has a chance to be lone speed here depending on what the #9 horse does. But that one is cheap speed regardless, so no worries.

Yeah, I should have boxed those 3 in the trifecta it seems. Got the exacta, though, so that's good in and of itself.

Ugh, I tried to tail you on that one Shark and my book wouldn't let me get the bet in. The exacta should be a decent payout, but that should have been your trifecta!

This should be a great exxacta payout with the heavy favourite getting beat out of it.

Good news it was a nice 48/1 exacta. Bad news is that the trifecta paid 230/1.

Holy shit almost 50/1 on that exacta. Once again I miss out, why doesn't my book ever reject my losing bets. Damn it, haha.

Sorry about that, T.

Ehh, what can you do, it's just funny how luck works. Most of the time when it tells me that the race has already started (even though it hasn't) if I keep hitting submit, the bet will eventually go through. Not that time of course. I shouldn't really complain though, I'm sure there are much better options out there for betting the horses.

Congrats on cashing your ticket though bud, that should put you up nicely for the day, no?
