Kentucky Derby...and Beyond?

I've lost my share of photos before, but I don't believe I've ever lost one that was THAT close.

Any tips for tomorrow :p

Haha. Yeah, I'll have all 9 of the BC races covered by tomorrow. I have some early leans a couple/few pages back if you want to take a look at them now. I doubt my picks will change much, besides just narrowing down amounts and structuring.

Yh fantastic race, thought Beholder had it in real time but then when they showed the close up replay i was sure Songbird had it on the nod. Shame but oh well, what a race.

Took a bit of a beating tonight, just under 10U down all told - mainly due to the Dortmund loss.
Still, plenty of races to make it back and then get in to profit tomorrow!

Would you be able to tag me after you post them please.. time difference makes it hard for me to remember to check this thread when I surf sherdog.

I'll have a look back. Cheers

@Mga223

These were my preliminary thoughts on tomorrow's races from yesterday;

Classic - Chrome over Melatonin in the exacta with a little Arrogate thrown in (1st to 3rd) for the tris
Turf - Highland Reel
Juvenile - Syndergaard
Sprint - Mind Your Biscuits
Mile - Ironicus, Limato, or maybe both
Turf Sprint - Ambitious Brew maybe
F&M Sprint - Carina Mia (with perhaps Paulassilverlining rounding out exacta)
Juvenile Fillies - American Gal and Champagne Room
F&M Turf - Queen's Trust

I'll certainly do that once I narrow things down just a little bit more.

Small profit on the day thanks to Oscar Performance's win earlier, but me backing off Tamarkuz to place and then the photo makes me feel a little sour on how the day went. Oh well. We have a shitload of opportunities tomorrow. Going to be great.

Great race, bitter sweet that it was so great but we didn't get the nod (literally), as Shark and Hodge mentioned looked like Beholder had it in real time and I didn't think of it much further, then saw the photo finish and couldn't believe how close it actually was.

I was betting olympic swimming this year (b/c I'm a degenerate) and the races were freakishly close (like.01-.03secs) win/loss type of races but this one seemed even closer if that's possible. About as close to a tie as you can get in a race.

Always fun, though. I mention this all the time itt but I'll do it again since this calls for it more than anytime, I don't think there's a more exciting sport out there when you have money on a horse and it's super close coming down the stretch. Unbelievable stuff.

You got that right @BluntTrauma21. I've bet on pretty much all the sports in the past albeit not so much as a "degenerate", and there's nothing like the ponies for my money. The handicapping process is a blast, and like you say, there's nothing as thrilling as your horse being right there coming for home. Shit, you've had that feeling at least twice in big races over the past few months. Creator in the Belmont. Then again today.

Looks like @gcoogan1 is the big winner on the day with him able to cash on a Tamarkuz win bet at 13/1. Congrats, my man.

I refer to myself as a degenerate a bit loosely as a kind of a joke (maybe half joking for me lol). Yessir Belmont was my favorite race I've ever seen, hell of a finish. Win some close ones, lose some close ones but it's always exciting nonetheless. Btw sad to see our buddy Creator hang up the horseshoes but he had a nice career while it lasted. Time for stud fees buddy, have fun ole friend!

Oh, don't worry, my friend. We'll be hearing a lot more from Creator in the future. Don't you doubt that. It may take til 2020/21, but with that great pedigree of his top & bottom (especially being a Tapit), and the fact that he's a two-time G1 winner including the Belmont, he'll be producing some top quality stakes runners for years to come.

Calling it now. Creator babies dominate the 2021 three year-old season. Yep.

@Mga223

Unless there's a late scratch to one of these runners, I'm 99.9% sure I'll be making these plays tomorrow;

Classic - 0.5u each on exactas structured like so; Chrome, Arrogate over Chrome, Arrogate, Melatonin (2u total), and then 1u on Melatonin to place
Mile - 2u on Ironicus to win, and then 0.5u (1u total) on a Ironicus/Limato exacta box
F&M Sprint - 2u on Carina Mia to win
Turf - 2u on Highland Reel to win
Juvenile - 4u on Syndergaard to win
Turf Sprint - 1u on Ambitious Brew to win
Sprint - 1u on Mind Your Biscuits to win and then 1u on him to show
F&M Turf - 1u on Queen's Trust to win
Juvenile Fillies - 1u on American Gal to win, and then 1u on Champagne Room to show

That should meet my 20u budget in total if I did my math right.

Considering how great Gun Runner ran today while right behind that hot pace in the Dirt Mile, I bumped Arrogate up a little in my mind since he dusted Gun Runner last time out, and will include him in the exactas for mostly defensive purposes just in case.

Cheers mate :) will back those, not having the best day today early betting on NZ races lol.
