Kentucky Derby...and Beyond?

Race 2 at Finger Lakes;

A #3, #5, #8 exacta box
A daily double races 2 & 3 - #3, #5, #8 with #2, #4
A pick 3 races 2 to 4 - #3, #5, #8 with #2, #4 with #7

I'll make a win bet on either the #3 or #8 come post time. Maybe even play both to win if I get the odds.

Went with win bets on both the #3 and #8 since they're both longshots. Then also went with #5 over #3, #8 over #3, #4, #6, #8 trifectas.

The #8 got the win at least. Photo for the exacta.

Wow, I made a whole $6 that race. Yay. At least I'm alive to the double and pick 3, though, and with a 6/1 horse that first race either could pay quite well if they hit.

The #8 to the #2 or #4 will be about a 30/1 payout on the double each if either wins. That's okay considering they could be the top two favourites this next race.

Doesn't look like I'll get a play in this next race at Finger Lakes besides the multi-race ones I already have. Not seeing the value anywhere on the win side or exactas.

The #4 wins that one by daylight with the #2 a clear 2nd over the #1 in 3rd. Makes for a nice 28/1 double payout.

And I'm still alive in the pick 3 as well.

This pick 3 will pay about 75/1 if the #7, who'll be one of the top two betting choices in the race, can get the job done.

=========+

This race's finishing order was #4, #2, #1, #7, #5, #6, #3. Just one spot away from being in order.

This #7 horse will probably shit the bed with the luck I have, but it does feel pretty good to be alive to a 75/1 payout on a horse who has a 32 point edge on the numbers and is currently sitting at even money on the board right now.

I'll play a couple of #7 over #5, #6 exactas as well in this next one at Finger Lakes.

$370 payout lost by an inch. That hurts. It really does.

Playing the #4 horse to W/P in a wide open race 5 at Finger Lakes. Have that one's fair odds at 6/1 and he's the biggest odds in the field at 12/1 as they head to the gates.

Just going to play this late double for $5 at Finger Lakes by using the #3, #5, #6 in race 7 with the #3 in race 8.

Going to try for the early double (for $5) and pick 3 (for $2 since one race is on turf) at Louisiana Downs.

Double races 1 and 2 - #2, #5 with #5
Pick 3 races 1 through 3 - #2, #5 with #5 with #6, #8, #5, #4, #3

I think I might just play multi-race wagers like this for the rest of the day as the other races I did numbers for are back-to-back save for one at Fort Erie, which doesn't look all that playable anyways.

Both those plays are dead after one race with my 3rd ranked horse beating out my top one by about a length or so. That's okay. I'm alive to a 8/1 double in this final race at Finger Lakes if the #3 gets it done.

#5, #3, #9 in the 8th at Finger Lakes. At least this one wasn't by a photo.
