Kentucky Derby...and Beyond?

I don't remember this but it definitely sounds like me lol. This race looks like a rough one to cap.

I say maybe a nice 6 horse exacta box maybe? Your sharp analysis of the day, courtesy of your boy, Blunttrauma21.

Haha. I'm not going to remind you then, bud, so lets just chalk it down as me making shit up.

If anyone with 5dimes if interested in betting Diamond King, he's +5200 right now. I had to throw down a little flyer at that price.

The best thing about today is that it means that there's only three more weeks until the Belmont and the true 2nd leg of the Triple Crown.

Pimlico has had 28 scratches over the first 7 races on this card. I'm not sure when I've ever saw that amount before, if ever.

#1, #2, #6 exacta box for me here in race 7 at Pimlico.

Cold 1st, 2nd, 3rd like a pro.

Ah, I was just poking fun. I didn't play that.

I need this 6th race at Belmont to hurry up and happen. I've yet to make a bet yet today and I'm getting antsy to do so

One of the results of all these scratches is that so far today at Pimlico the average odds on each winner has been 6/5 with only one of them being 2/1. Not much fun as @kenfloshogun can attest to.

What's sad is that the average win odds at Pimlico today may even go down if horses like Mitole, Ax Man, and Justify do what they're supposed to do.

I've probably asked you this already Shark, so sorry to repeat myself, but to pass the time until the big race, who's the most talented horse you've ever seen run? Maybe they didn't live up to their potential over their career, maybe they did, but just overall what horse is the most naturally gifted you've ever watched? The RJJ of horses so to speak.

That's an easy answer for, bud. Ghostzapper. If we're talking about horses who've ran since I've taken an interest in the sport that is.

I also spent a few hours scouring the past performances of at least 40 races at various tracks looking for specific kinds of horses in some spot plays. Did the numbers for about a dozen of those races, and then after doing so, narrowed it down to these selective plays for tomorrow;

Race 6 at Belmont Park - #5 Asphalt Paving 3/1
Race 1 at Emerald Downs - #6 Curious Rumor 4/1
Race 3 at Prairie Meadows - #8 Train Walk 5/1
Race 6 at Prairie Meadows - #7 Sweet Tatum 6/1
Race 4 at Evangeline Downs - #7 Cowboy Don 20/1
Race 8 at Prairie Meadows - #6 Scrutinizer 6/1

If I get the right odds on these horses come post time I'm likely to play them each to win for $20 each.

Still 10 minutes to post, but based on the current odds coupled with the will pays, I think I'll get a playable price on this horse at Belmont. I just wanted 2/1 at least anyways as I have it 35 points ahead of my next ranked horse. Would have keyed it in exotics even if there were more than two options underneath with one of those being a short priced horse.

Stupid jockey rides the horse right between two others, stays right there, and then runs it directly into a wall of horses coming around the turn.

@BluntTrauma21

I was just waiting for that race at Belmont to end before posting some videos of Ghostzapper. But check him out;

I got +5000 but if he wins believe me I won't be sad LOL.

Sprint race or route race. On the pace or off it. Rain or shine. Ghostzapper could do it all and is undoubtably the most naturally talented horse I've seen the last few decades. He cracked the 120 BSF mark four times, including a high mark of 128 in the Iselin race up above which is the highest official figure ever given out in a route race.

I've seen a lot of really talented horses in my life time such as Holy Bull, Easy Goer, Skip Away, Silver Charm, etc., but I don't think any of them had quite the all-around talent of Ghostzapper.
