He seems to be calling out Mas, and then goes on to say how guys would have to go and fight people in parks in order to get prepared for fights. Weird. 'Cause that's pretty much how Mas came up. Parks, backyards, the beach. He acts like Mas didn't come up the hard way like him.

They didn't come up the same way. What Shamrock is talking about was professional MMA. Street fighting has always existed.

Masvidal prepares for fights in a gym. Shamrock is recalling a time before MMA gyms were a thing--pretty much before MMA was a thing. He's not talking about street fighting, he's talking about the "training camp."
