Back in 2005 they were supposed to fight but Karo got a hamstring injury and never made it to the match and so Joe Riggs took over on short notice and lost.

With Matt Hughes coming back, how about we bring Karo Parisyan back for the EPIC fight that never took place!!?

Matt Hughes should not come back
 
On the MMA Hour today he was talking about facing Chuck. Matt Serra's name also got brought up. Would like to see the Chuck fight. Gonna need to see Serra lose that Baptist preacher's gut before I sign off on that one
 
I don't see this fight happening in the UFC. Would feel like Matt vs Gracie, or Matt vs Serra, or Matt vs Gracie, or Matt vs Penn 3. Actually, screw it.

Hughes does have a suspect chin but Karo couldn't punch his way out of a paper window to escape a burning house.

For sure, it was a legit KO as well, fight is posted below. Watching Karo win and do his judo throw feels like a spiritual experience!

One logical fight that interests me is Diego Sanchez vs Hughes. I don't think Diego has the power or skills to really hurt Hughes on the feet and even though past their prime they could still produce some sick grappling exchanges. Don't wanna see Hughes fight a complete bum they have to grab outta the UFC, and Diego is from the same era.

Baroni was a shot fighter a decade ago, he a shell of the former shell of a onetime borderline contender.
Bro? Did you even know who Phil Baronial was...in 2006 when he had his last significant win?

I actually liked that match up!

Diego was an up and comer as well as an undefeated prospect at the time of Hughes prime. Them fighting each other makes sense because they are somewhat around each others era..

He has better standup than Shields, that I will agree to.
 
Diego vs Matt was a fight a lot of people wanted to see 10+ years ago. Neither one will win with a quick KO and neither will quit or play it safe. Sanchez vs Hughes in a 5 rounder would be a fun last fight for both.

Yeah that's how I see it. Joe Silva was a smart match maker. They try not to pair judoka up against wrestlers too much for better entertainment. A good wrestler can negate or beat a good judo player. He got grinded out by Sherk too.
