Crime Kareem Hunt released from KC Chiefs for video

Do you agree Hunt should lose his job, when the police found he broke no law?

So, I got a few things to say about this video.

First and foremost, I want to call out the Texas shooting posters, who told us time and again the dad in the Texas shooting and his son, had a responsibility to remove themselves from conflict. That as the psycho dude was charging him with a bat in his hands, that the dad in Texas had a responsibility to remove himself from that conflict before it escalated to the point of deadly force being used.

Don't pull that bullshit. The widow of the deceased was actively engaged in that thread and filled in a lot of the missing blanks, which made sense when you watch the video.

And you conveniently disappeared after that - "Psycho dude" didn't charge anyone.

The Mixon one was rough, but that chick had something coming.
Bro if you got talent, you could literally tip a baby stroller with twins it, and make your way back to the field. Lol Peyton Manning literally teabagged an athletic trainer while she was doing her job and they fired her.

Weird that such a big dude has to make himself feel like a big dude by getting physical with a 19 year old girl.

Mental midget.

Yeah, I agree with your main point, I just felt like throwing that woman in the Mixon story under the bus for being generally retarded.

Bro I think you should have watched that video to the end. That final push and kick, I'm surprised he's not facing any charges on that.

Could be a drunken isolated incident or maybe he's an habitual women beater either way he threw a kick at a downed opponents this isn't pride dude there are rules. The NFL has to act and they can't come in light or they face more bad publicity.

TMZ Jesus Christ what a horrible TV show? Channel? I think the worst of humanity anytime I see that shit.

Its looks like the girl was being a real bitch.

However you can't go hands on over words.

He certainly could have handled it much better.

Most likely she deserved it but deserve has nothing to do with legal or right.

The kick was way over and surprised he did get charge for that.

What does metoo or BLM have to do with any of this? Is Hunt part of BLM?
They created the social environment that contributed to this epic collapse of judgment on the part of the police department.

The man should have been arrested on the spot.
What was their reasoning for not arresting him?
That they didn't have the same amount of proof they use to make arrests and file charges a thousand times a day?

There aren't any victims in that video. If his life is ruined, then hers should be as well.

She probably isn't under a behavior contract, and probably isn't a well known public figure who can make the news.

If he gets Ray rice'd or Kaepernick'd it will be his career.

The NFL owners so obviously collude, it is insane. I'm not going to be suprised if Kaepernick wins his lawsuit.

He'll eventually be back, and Ray Rice would likely have been back as well if he hadn't been an aging players in an expendable position coming off of an unspectacular year where he barely averaged 3 yards a carry.

Also, I'd be shocked if there was express collusion by the owners. Implicit agreement that certain players will not be immediately re-employed after certain incidents so that there isn't a race to the bottom that is ruinous to everyone in the league through public scrutiny and lost ratings? Sure, but we've seen teams like Washington, Oakland, and Dallas contravene that purported code.

As you know, I'm pretty reliably on the side of the employee and union: it's literally my job. But the fact of the matter is that coaches/teams/owners/organizations have several bona fide business interests in maintaining a cohesive and well-behaving team, a decent reputation, and a certain level of approval from casual fans. All of those interests are undermined by public incidents like this. And even if it was a clearly non-criminal act, like for instance a player shouting racial slurs on camera, the mere fact that it's not criminal does not void those interests.

As far as Kaepernick goes, that's a harder subject. He was definitely a top 20 quarterback with top 10 upside. But he also wanted a lot of money, and that gets weighed alongside his baggage - and there was/is absolutely reason to worry about the typical NFL fan boycotting his team.

I think a better case for blackballing/discrimination would be Kerry Rhodes. After rumors of him being gay surfaced, he was immediately unable to find work despite being one of the league's better safeties.

Holy shit he pushed a woman who was getting in his face. Let's lock him up forever.

NFL players have done way worse and only gotten 4 day suspensions.

I only voted no because he's been my most reliable running back on my fantasy team this year.

On one hand I applaud the Chief brass for pulling the card on one of their best players over this. Huge balls/ integrity.
That being said, I think, given the video, that its way over the top.

Not nearly as egregious as everyone makes it seem. Inappropriate for sure. Suspension and some form of repayment to society should be done. He shouldn't lose his job though.

He put himself in that position. I think he signed an agreement with team, and NFL to not put himself in a position like that.

I think their is some kind of personal conduct agreement or something which includes not putting yourself in that kind of position.
