Crime Kareem Hunt released from KC Chiefs for video

Do you agree Hunt should lose his job, when the police found he broke no law?

Your hitting on why this really bugged me, before I noticed the kick. He pushes her, his friends are trying to hold him back, and she is walking towards him like she wants to fight.

Their is a part of me that thinks drunk chicks like that should be allowed to enter into mutual combat with a dude. Being a female isn't a force field. Allot of dudes will go to jail, or take a ass whooping to stop someone from talking shit. I'm not sure we should be making a victim out of that chick.

I can understand your perspective on this, and agree to an extent. Western culture has a strong taboo against men hitting women. Some women think they have a license to be an aggressive bitch, even to the extent of physical assault. At what point, and to what extent should a man be able to defend himself? At what point does the fact that it's a woman vs a man no longer matter? This is a very difficult dilemma for a man dealing with a crazed and abusive woman.

However, in this case he is not only a man but a bigger and stronger person. He touched her first, and multiple times. He pushed through multiple people who were trying to drag him away to do so. All he had to do was stop resisting the people who were trying to separate them and end the situation.

It's good that he is "surrounding himself with good people", now he needs to start listening to them and learn more self-control in this area. I'm not saying he should be punished harshly, this wasn't the worst thing he could have done and no one was seriously hurt in the end. But if you play a stupid game, you win a stupid prize.

It sounds like he really has some anger and control issues. And this isn't a one off situation.

With that said, just from the video, it looked to me like he does give in multiple times to his friends trying to remove him, but that she keeps egging him on.

You are right. Part of my problem with this, is that if a dude was talking shit like that, trying to get in his face, no one would bat an eye if it ended in some pushing, and a kick to the leg.

I don't like the idea that men and women are equal, but women get extra priviledge. It triggers me a bit.

I'm not really trying to defend him anymore. Being shown he got in a fight in June destroyed any want I had to defend this guy.

I would say, I was attacking the chicks actions though.

Yeah she should have left but she doesn’t play in the NFL nor has a reputation to uphold on and off the field. It’s his responsibility to avoid issues like this and he failed miserably at it. Steroids alcohol drugs and who knows what else...

HGH brah. Worst kept secret in sports that 90% of the NFL has been on HGH since the 90's.

Apparently the Chiefs are saying he lied about the whole situation to them back in February, before the video was released.

I've heard he's had other off field altercations as well, but it's bullshit since they recently drafted that guy who choked, and punched his pregnant gf in the stomach and face.

If there is no video evidence then it didn't happen as far as the NFL is concerned.

Probably even Peyton Manning. That one pharmacist said on camera he was shipping HGH to Peyton's wife all over the country. That's probably how he came back from his neck injury not being able to throw a ball and went on to set some records. The HGH is worth hundreds of millions of dollars to a guy like that if it helps him play.

These guys probably have to be on lots of drugs just to survive playing 16+ games of football.

He put his hands on her FIRST.

He kicks her when she is on ground.

Why would anyone defend him?

I was a little surprised how fast they dropped him because there weren’t any punches thrown (although he gave her a little kick in the ass at the end). Still, domestic violence is a huge issue right now, and it’s way different from a PR perspective when there’s a video circulating. If there’s no video, it’s a lot easier for them to spin but now it’s totally out there.

That little kick in the ass at the end really killed him. They would have had a decent chance at spinning it up to that point, but even though it wasn’t hard, it makes it look like he’s being the aggressor, not just reacting

So, I got a few things to say about this video.

First and foremost, I want to call out the Texas shooting posters, who told us time and again the dad in the Texas shooting and his son, had a responsibility to remove themselves from conflict. That as the psycho dude was charging him with a bat in his hands, that the dad in Texas had a responsibility to remove himself from that conflict before it escalated to the point of deadly force being used.

Did this chick have a responsibility to remove herself from this conflict?

Hunt's friends get him back in the room after the push. That chick is still standing their yelling and talking shit. She keeps putting herself back in conflict. Why does the guy and girl return to the room entrance of Hunt's where she is pushed again?

Now Hunt claims she is hurling N-bombs at him. If that is true, does that not justify pushing people to get them to leave?

Second, if I was a KC Chiefs fan, I would be pissed, and I mean fucking heated. The Chiefs have a real chance at a Superbowl this year. They just cut one of their best players over pushing a chick. This isn't Ray Rice melting a chick. This is a push. If I paid 1,000's of dollars a year for season tickets to Chiefs games, I would be absolutely furious with the Chiefs over this.

I doubt she was calling him the N-word.
I just don't see it. I think he was trying to lure her to the room with the "Im famous" line and she said fuck off and he got pissed.

I can totally see that chick screaming, "hit me, I dare you", at him. In my state that technically is mutual combat, and if you had the means to fight the police and prosecutor interpretation of it, you would win.
I'm from the same state as you and I don't think that qualifies as mutual combat.

Am I the only one too see him go full speed at her like she was a linebacker and almost knock himself out because he hits the wall very hard after bulldozing the girl.

Yet everyone calls it a push?

I wouldn't give him credit for the friends, but I do give the friends credit. They weren't just standing between Hunt and the girl, they were clinch wrestling him and Hunt fighting to break through. So much so it was one of his friends he threw 8 feet away that knocked the girl to the ground

Then he couldn't resist giving her the boot lying there, which shows A+ scumbag behavior

Chiefs say a big part of the release is that Hunt lied to them about how the incident went down, and the vid proves he lied. After seeing the vid, I'm surprised police didn't charge misdemeanor assault initially. DA probably just don't want a headache national exposure case and said fuck it

The video though is what the nfl fears pr wise. It gives juicy material social media to show that kick in slow mo on loop and "NFL doesn't care about beating women so long as you can run a ball well" posts

Tyreek Hill, a wr for the same team, choked his pregnant girlfriend unconscious. Charges actually filed and convicted of the domestic assault. But no vid = just a well crafted team statement

I am curious to see if any team puts a waiver claim on Hunt and figures they'd get him after a year long suspension
I was thinking the same thing about the friends... they were doing a lot to hold him back, who the he’ll knows what he would have done if no one was there to hold him back? He may have given her the ray rice.

Like you said though... no video, no problems

Kareem works for an employer who disagreed with his actions, it's really as simple as that. The Kansas city Chiefs felt that Mr. Hunt didn't represent them in a manner that meshed with the organization's image.

On a personal note, he had multiple chances to diffuse situation, and multiple associates tried to "calm him down". He was the first according to video to become physically aggressive, and after being removed from direct conflict he then came back and not only pushed the woman again, he also pushed another man and kicked the woman.

Your actions have consequences and being a young professional athlete you should be wary of certain things(like partying with college girls in a hotel room, such as putting your hands on members of the public because of words).

He got himself into this through a lack of maturity and foresight, fortunately it's a talent based league and at the end of the day winning matters more than anything else. He won't be jobless for long.

Maybe she didn't here him when he said "Kareem Hunt" and thought he said "Creamed Cunt" and she freaked out.

There is a for sure a double standard. If that was a dude Hunt was pushing nothing would happen. It is what it is and Hunt should know this and not be pushing around women especially on camera in a lobby.
