Kanye West has been red pilled

Who would have thought that right wingers are so interested in protecting the right of a celebrity to their political opinion?

What group did Anderson Cooper or Don lemon have one that called Kanye ignorant, dumb, or said he should be slapped around?

Obama and Trump are different animals. You can disagree with Obama's politics, but he is a dignified and a decent human being. Donald Trump is an embodiment of the most crass, least dignified, and most immoral aspects of American culture. He grabs women by the pussy, he cheats with porn stars, he scams people out of money, he talks shit, hurls insults, and most relevant in this conversation, he has directly attacked and insulted black Americans.

So yeah, supporting Trump carries a certain baggage that supporting any other American politician does not, outside of Roy Moore or Anthony Weiner or something. That is to be expected.

Wow.

I said in an earlier post that what happened to them was wrong. But nice dodge

We could try this. Can you find ONE celebrity who merely supported Obama that caught any shit. Not attacks or insults. But just supported the president. Was ANYONE held to the standard Kayne is? Can u just find one?

If we can't agree being ashamed of 1 person and supporting 1 person are different that is ball game

But we at least now know CNN and MSNBC are as bad as the nightly hacks on FOX

It's a poor comparison because the Kanye West situation has a broad history. West is the person who said that "George bush doesn't like black people." over the Louisiana floods. His music has frequently taken a political tone that suggests that he is concerned about the general treatment of the black community by the right wing side of the political spectrum.

Just how often he's rapped about the prison situation juxtaposed with supporting an administration that includes Jeff Sessions should make anyone pause.

So this is a significant departure for him. This is a link (from 2016) showcasing the political bend of his previous work.

Amusingly
"And I’ll never let my son have an ego/ He’ll be nice to everyone wherever we go/ I mean I might even make him be Republican/ So everybody know he love white people"
.

Bush Jr and Obama were indeed dignified men. Who both should be charged with War Crimes

Thanks for making my point

And aren't u a republican who believes Trump isn't a real republican? So it might make sense some people support Trump who would not support Republicans

In essence, Kayne would be against You, Bush Jr, Cheney. But not necessarily Trump

Is this where you pretend not to understand how "banning" Muslims, Tweeting racist memes with fake information, pretending not to know who David Duke is, calling black people's lives "hell", calling their homelands "shitholes" and wondering why we'd want anybody from their country, etc, makes supporting him different than an average politician? Specifically in minority communities?

So your earlier posts disagreeing with his treatment were what?

Look. I see why it's hard to discuss anything Trump related with u now.

It would be like someone screaming Nation of Islam, Al Sharpton in White House, attending Racist church anytime anything Obama was discussed

Obama did some crazy stuff but like everyone he's flawed. Doesn't mean he's evil. Sitting in a racist church at one time doesn't make him the devil. it makes him human

Imagine Trump SITTING in a racist church. Imagine Trump having a picture with a REAL NAZI. imagine Trump actually inviting David Duke to the WH

No, I'm not making your point, if you'd actually gone to the link, you'd see repeated lyrics that contradict the tone of this administration, not just Republicans.

West should be against Trump as much as he's against anyone on the right just on the prison component.

But before my next statement, I'll ask - have you listened to Kanye's latest song with T.I.?

Oh. And many black folks are living in a hell. I lived there till I was 17. Having Bloods walk by u with shotguns on their shoulders when u are 8 years old playing video games at the local liquor store is a hell. Watching people u know gunned down in your neighborhood is hell.

Kanye isn't just some "celebrity".

He's arguably one of the most influential figures in modern Pop music, both to blacks and whites. His opinions, as wonky as they may be, carry weight.

Shoot me a link to the Trump PrisonComponent

If Trump is so Republican. Why do you, Bush Jr and crew dislike him so much?

And no. Post the song

You made it seem like the media was attacking him. That is what I had a problem with. But then you said Anderson Cooper and Don Lemon and then actually did not insult Kanye, so I'm confused about what the problem even is here. I asked what group they had on to attack Kanye, and still didn't really get a response.

Then you guys got off on this, "Liberals think they own black thought" thing, which has nothing to do with the media. That is what we're discussing now, right? The black community's response to Kanye supporting Trump? I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with their opinion. Who am I to tell black people what to think about Kanye West?

Trump went out of his way to give the black community more than enough reasons to hate him. If they want to bash Kanye on Twitter for his Tweet or whatever, they have more than enough reasons to do so.

Comparing Donald Trump and his rhetoric to Obama going to a Church with a controversial pastor is not even in the same ballpark.

Nope. I was asking why simply supporting a president would cause this. You answered that for me. Because he's racist in your opinion

Shoot me a link to the Trump PrisonComponent

In the link I included are multiple lyrical references to the prison situation as it affects black America.

This administration has Jeff Sessions, supports the War on Drugs, is headed by an individual who took out a full page ad to castigate black teens for a crime they didn't comment and never apologized, and this administration rolled more people into private prisons.

On that element alone, Kanye's music suggests that this administration is a poor fit for him politically.

What does my dislike for some of Trump's policies have to do with Kanye West, his music, the overall black community, and his stated political position.

When did this thread become about me or my policy preferences?

Sorry my mistake I was under the impression that celebrities should STFU about politics. At least that was the impression I got when for example LeBron James spoke about politics.

Don't start trolling now. I did not say I believe Trump is a racist. I don't know Trump. I said that Trump has given far too many reasons for people to suspect he is a racist, and I listed several of those reasons.

What is hilarious to me, is that Trump goes out of his way to alienate minorities with all of his insults. Then most Republican voters actually agree with his gaffes, and then wonder why black people won't vote for Republicans.

A guy in another thread just asked me for proof that Trump's fake crime stats about blacks were inaccurate. That means he actually believed them. He saw that absurd propaganda, believed it, apparently did not notice the source was completely fake. That is why memes are not okay, people actually believe memes.

So is Trump a Republican or not? Because u say Kayne raps about Anti Republican shit. But u and Bush Jr seem to not think Trump is a real republican

You could actually argue trumps view on immigration is more benificial to black Americans than anything Obama did
