The problem is not to attack the DNC, but to point out the bi-partisan flaw of zero independent medical oversight of the president's mental fitness. When all of the doctors that assess the presidents health are Federal employees, able to essentially be fired by his administration, and essentially handpicked by the president, there is no independence in cognitive assessment.

The solution to the problem was to have Biden removed as president, not blame the DNC.

This same problem is likely to happen with Trump: Who is going to remove Trump as president if his cognitive decline continues?

I think the big issue is that there is really no clear policy for US presidents to be removed from office due to cognitive decline.

Biden obviously should have been removed from office probably at some point in 2023. But there's no clear cut constitutional or congressionally mandated statute that produces independent, non-partisan assessments of presidential mental fitness. And on top of that, you would need not only mandatory, independent assessments of mental fitness, but also enforcement mechanisms that remove the president from office without the president having the authority to veto such a move.

And we are potentially heading for the same problem with Trump. He's already looking cognitively declined in 2025 compared to 2024. If this decline becomes a clear trend, who is going to remove him from power? At least for Republicans Trump can't run for re-election in 2028, so that problem is solved.

Getting to the point where the nuclear codes are trusted by grandpas who forget their fuckin' wifi password ain't exactly ideal. A bipartisan mental fitness test sounds cute until you realize congress would have to take it too -- that would be interesting... (as a side note, why the fuck don't we have mandatory drug testing -- I mean they do work for us)

The problem is that because of the nature of conservatism, conservatives don’t have the same, massive machine like the DNC and its media allies, NGOs, etc. Democrats able to generate lock stop messaging almost instantly, where as conservatives interparty fight, try playing moral high ground on various bills of their own to die own. The only possible comparable is George Bush Sr. in 1992, in which Reagan (unlike Biden) voluntarily chose to step down and allow the process to take place. And George Bush willingly agreed to hold a primary.

There should be an age limit on running for POTUS. It's one of the most stressful jobs in the world. While there are outliers who retain high levels of physical and mental stamina well into their golden years, a guy in his late 70's/early 80's leading the Free World is just asking for trouble.
