You build more nuclear plants, drill more oil and natural gas, more pipelines, and more refineries and ships. If you dump price of energy and it will immediately through speculation, you will drive down the cost of everything.

Energy production in the US is already at its highest level ever. Explain that.

When you say "drill more oil, more pipelines, more refineries, and more ships" who exactly are you talking about? Are you advocating for the government itself to start producing and refining oil? Are you going to have the government force private companies to flood the market with excess supply in order to crash the price? Or are you naive enough to think that oil and gas companies will voluntarily fuck themselves and their shareholders over out of the goodness of their hearts?

Do you even know how the free market works? If your goal is to curb speculation via government intervention, then why not just intervene directly with speculation, instead of trying to haphazardly manipulate it?

I think the funniest thing about your post is that not only do you say you would "go all in on energy production" and then immediately say that you would forego all renewable sources (which is beyond retarded when you consider how much renewables could help), but you seem to be completely clueless to the fact that if you actually want true energy independence, then renewables (plus nuclear) are the only answer, short of nationalizing our oil and gas industries.
