Who's panic wrestling? Harris has to defend her horrible border policy among other things that have been an absolute failure for the last 4 years.

Here's how difficult that's gonna be:

Harris: We put together the largest package the border patrol would have ever received. More money, more people, more everything. It was endorsed by the Border Patrol Union itself. Trump called on republicans to do nothing. He said voting for anything would give Democrats a win. Therefore his party should do nothing so that he can try and run on the border for the election.

And people can then check to see if that's true. And trumps statements were pretty public.....so.

She could also just bring up trump's failed border wall and pledge that mexico would pay for it. Then americans could just sit back and ask themselves: "Is trump really gonna do anything, or is he just lying like he did last time?"

This isn't really a tough one to handle.

I think Trump has become the establishment, as far as the GOP is concerned.

Jeb Bush is still standing in that same spot, asking for more cheers. Cruz is still telling his wife she's pretty, and Romney won't leave Utah. Trump did a number on the previous establishment. Trial by combat rules dictates he gets the role.

They held millions and millions of dollars back from Biden, and then pumped them into Kamala's campaign and pretended that they were independent grass roots donations that flooded into them in one day. It's so obvious.

If the polls hold with Trump in the lead, they'll probably kick her too, or "let" her compete in a primary. They're scrambling to cling to power, and they're using all the tricks they got.

I don't think the (D)s can afford to have a brokered convention right now. The best they can do is try to shield Kamala's flaws, and choose Mark Kelly as VP. He'd be doing the heavy lifting, and could crush both Vance *and* Trump in debates.

For me, this is a tough thing.

I *do not* like Kamala Harris. She's basically the embodiment of panderization, someone who consistently makes the wrong decisions but ends up ahead due to one thing or another. *cough* And as a historian, the idea of her becoming the first US woman president irks the hell out of me.

Yet as a pseudo-partisan who hates Trump, and believes his lame duck session could be catastrophic, I have to bite the bullet and hope she wins.

But still....*HER* being the possible first woman US president in history books would annoy me to no end.

I think the rebuttal for that is to point out that the Biden administration has deported and arrested more illegals than the trump administration ever did. She can also point out that by refusing the propose any legislation of their own, while blocking legislation approved by the Border Patrol, republicans don't actually care about the border.

I know you're the type of lad who argues that feelings are more important than facts, but I don't think you can sell that bullshit to anyone who isn't already drinking the kool-aid.
