I’ve posted about this before, but yes, it’s always the economy. This election was a little different due to abortion rights being such a big topic—but generally Americans are only one issue voters (the economy), and really aren’t all that knowledgeable about that one issue.

Their analysis consists of basically asking themselves “how do I feel things are economically isn’t now under President Whomever, and is that better or worse than I felt under President Whats-His-Nuts?” And that’s about as far as most go.


Trump’s economic record was not better than Obama’s or Biden’s, even if we do him an extreme favor and remove COVID from the equation.
Trump is really good at branding though, and is good branding himself as being that.

I'm not a low IQ cult member like @Seano or @nostradumbass I didn't predict trump winning because I think he's a competent statesman, I picked him because I know how americans vote.

And it paid off....bigly.

I liked her concession speech. If she was like that the entire time, she might have won.

Unfortunately, every time she talks about freedom, the constitution, joy, etc., there are clips of her saying the complete opposite. I could never get a feel for what her actual positions were.
