Yes. Sorry if that wasn't implied. It's an actual example that happened to someone my wife knows (a friend of hers' brother). Dude had the same partner forever. I almost guarantee he never touched a kid. It was some shithead parents that (most likely, it never came out that it was for sure this but everyone kinda knew) didn't like their kid having a gay scout leader. This was like 10 years ago but it fucked up that dude's life.

Huh? They didn't skip a primary and give anybody else's VP the nomination claiming "we practically got to vote for the candidate since she was Joe's VP". She did run, and specifically dropped out before the Iowa caucus because she didn't have any support, and was then chosen entirely because she's a "woman of color". That is a DEI hire.
