Just rewatched Silva vs. Diaz

Nick is no joke and he outboxes everyone not named "Georges supermanjab StPierre"... the guy KTFOed Paul Daley ffs. At 185 he is even mor dangerous to stand and trade with.

Anderson did good in that fight. Bisping is way over the hill and a couple of wins make him look better than he actually is right now. In hindsight he had close fights with CB Dollaway (LOL) and for a lot of people he lost to Thales Leites.

George beats anyone with that super athletic superman punch .. It's too fast. Beats even Conor on the feet.

He didn't have his killer instincts against Diaz, and that was when he was on the roided viagra.

will be very interesting to see how he performs.

Yes, the great Paul Daley who was dominated by KOS and went on to a 1 - 3 record in Strikeforce. If that's you signature win in MMA you aren't that good.

He also knocked out lawler...

Let's remember how good Nick Diaz is, Anderson controlled the action and picked him apart with ease.

Yes, lets remember how good Diaz is. Never beat a legit Top 10 fighter, is a .500 fighter in the UFC, and was the champ of a minor league organization.

He won that title by beating a guy who never won a fight in that organization, defended against another guy whose only win in that organization was against the guy with no wins, and then beat Daley who ended up 1 - 3 in that organization.

So his three championship fights in SF were against 3 guys with a total of 2 wins in SF.

Most of his "signature" performances are against guys from a weight class below his, and he has lost to the better little guys as often as he's beat them.

When he fights good fighters he loses, usually by wide margins (50-45, 49-46).

That's how "good" Nick Diaz is.

If he wasn't a well-known dope smoker he would have almost zero following. Most of his fans don't even watch his fights, they just go on forums and spew nonsense about how he stood tor-to-toe with Anderson Silva, and could have beat GSP.

I didn't see a clear winner in the fight and scored it a Draw.

People like to pretend they never said it but everyone was sure that Nick would be Leben'ed within the first exchange. He came off an even longer layoff than Anderson, came up an entire weight class and fought one of the greatest of all time and not just that, the roided-to-the-gills greatest of all time.

Nick did a damn good job considering just those factors. People had such little respect for him that they thought Anderson would Leben him even after the leg break. All the Anderson fans I watched the fight with were incredibly butthurt at Diaz taunting Anderson too. I was exasperated because literally at least one of those taunts Anderson infamously used against Stephan Bonnar. If anyone deserves to get taunted in a fight it's him, come on.. Lol.

Nick was fed to AS by Dana as an easy fight for him to return from the worst injury I've ever seen in the cage.

Nick was dominated, lost every round, and the beating got worse in the 5th, when AS decided his leg was going to be OK and actually started to fight.

Even when he knew he was going to lose, Nick still avoided his normal fight style. he knew if he engaged with Silva he would be KTFO. He pussed out instead of trying to win the fight. A cowardly exhibition.

You're a real piece of work man. I don't really have much to say to you, you disgust me to be quite honest. To call anyone who would step in the cage a coward when you would take, at most, one step in there and then flee before the door could shut behind you, leaving a puddle of urine behind you... It's simply disgusting.

My work here is done.

My job here is done.

You can pretend all you want that this is just some ironic representation you choose to portray online but I'm willing to bet you're really like this deep down. I feel sorry for you. Your 'job here is done' though certainly, begone child.

I feel people often forget about what Andy went through before the Diaz fight; getting KO'd, losing his belt/long reign, having his leg broken in such dramatic fashion, etc. No fucking wonder he was more conservative for that fight. I'm sure Silva had a TON of mental doubts, I'm actually surprised in hindsight that he wasn't even more restrained. Add to the fact that its damn near impossible to finish Nick.

I think in realistic terms it was a great fight considering all these factors.
For some reason no one seems to take that into consideration. He had his leg snapped in half a year before the fight, at nearly 40 years of age. He still came back and won every single round against Nick Diaz. It's more than normal to be tentative after experiencing and injury like that. He still came out and completely out pointed him.

This. Nick even shot for a takedown (in the 2nd or 3rd). People still go on about Nick "punking" Anderson, yet Anderson was in control of that entire fight. Did they expect Anderson to get reckless and angry when Nick started taunting..? He was composed, but was very tentative.

Nick hasn't won a fight in five years. The praise for this guy is unreal.

That fight sucked. Anderson looked tentative and unsure of himself after breaking his leg and Diaz went out throwing probably less than half his usual output even though the fight was entirely contested on the feet. 'Nick did better than expected' is not enough for me to think a fight is good
Very underwhelming performance by both guys.

Daley is easy to outgrapple... Nick beat him in his own game.

Koed the KO artist, just like hi did with Lawler.

Looked like every Silva fight to me. He looked even more aggressive at times because Diaz wasn't going to chase him.

Nick Diaz is a safer smarter fighter than most of Silva's past opponents. Both Silva and Diaz are opportunistic finishers. If their opponent doesn't put themselves in trouble or open to counters, there is a lot of standing and funny moments.

Diaz is a mental midget.

Can't form a gameplan, can't adjust, always cries and threatens to retire after it doesn't go his way. Hope he stays gone.

Bisping in my opinion has always been clean. He also has underrated wrestling, and he will be going against an older and probably clean Silva. IMO, I would not be shocked to see Mike wrestle and tire Andy out.

Hope I'm wrong!
