I actually didn't remember the fight being that good, perhaps because I went to watch it without expecting it to end in Silva-esque fashion, Silva actually took some really good shots off Diaz and I think it's fair to say Nick hits harder than Bisping, I actually think he will take care of Bisping pretty handily, anybody else actually giving Bisping a chance?

You never know with Anderson these days. He's looked decidedly more fragile than in his champion days. Decline happens suddenly, but still... he's sunk further than we thought if he can't muster up enough to beat The Count.

anybody else actually giving Bisping a chance?
Anything can happen in a fight, the stars could align, Bisping could land the best hook of his career and put Anderson out, but the odds are definitely in Silva's favor.

I feel people often forget about what Andy went through before the Diaz fight; getting KO'd, losing his belt/long reign, having his leg broken in such dramatic fashion, etc. No fucking wonder he was more conservative for that fight. I'm sure Silva had a TON of mental doubts, I'm actually surprised in hindsight that he wasn't even more restrained. Add to the fact that its damn near impossible to finish Nick.

I think in realistic terms it was a great fight considering all these factors.

Nick is no joke and he outboxes everyone not named "Georges supermanjab StPierre"... the guy KTFOed Paul Daley ffs. At 185 he is even mor dangerous to stand and trade with.

Anderson did good in that fight. Bisping is way over the hill and a couple of wins make him look better than he actually is right now. In hindsight he had close fights with CB Dollaway (LOL) and for a lot of people he lost to Thales Leites.

I remember it was a dull fight but Anderson won clearly

actually i dont give him a chance. i give him the win by dec. calling it now the count via dance dance revolution

He might outpoint bisping. Bisping is technical enough to not be ktfo .silva seems to have lost his hunger and urgency to finish the fight, this might keep bisping from getting ko'ed and simply be outpointed instead in a decision loss.

The fight with Dollaway wasn't close. Aside from Bisping getting flash-dropped, he won the whole thing pretty clearly.

This fight was announced so long ago It feels like they've aged just in the lead up to this. I'm looking for Silva to smoke Bisping in the opening frame and have enough time on the mic to hang the gloves up in style. WAR Silva

What a good card. Shame it's not a numbered event.

Every fighter has a chance, but Anderson looked fantastic in his return against Diaz. Let's remember how good Nick Diaz is, Anderson controlled the action and picked him apart with ease.

I enjoyed the hell out of that fight, I don't care what anybody says. And Nick did awesome, waaaaay better than just about anyone expected him to do. Such a weird fight, but so compelling.

why bother rewatching that snooze fest?

Fights that seem disappointing live, are often perceived more favorably during the rewatch .. at least for me, and for the reasons you said. I don't have the expectations during the rewatch so I watch the fight with greater objectivity.

I do not give Bisbing much of a chance in this fight beyond possibly surviving to a decision in Anderson's favor.
