If it was to get us to a neutral or surplus budget to pay down some principle on the debt I’d understand it as a necessary evil. But this is just to afford the 4 trillion of tax cuts they want to give out (their words. Not conjecture)

They are really fascinated by landscapes that don't bear the slightest resemblance to anything that can be seen or explored back on the fatherland continent. You didn't come across any Euros in Death Valley? Maybe since it was chilled down October. They comprise the vast majority of summer visitation there. You know, when the temps are pushing 130 F (54.4 C). I ran into literally nothing but Europeans last time in July 2023, lol. A poor English bloke genuinely looked like he was on the verge of death after taking a photo with the thermometer at the Furnace Creek visitor center.

USA has some nice spots to visit. Problem is the entire place is crawling with Americans, and that is a real turn off.

In terms of natural beauty, varried landscapes, amazing people and great cities, NZ is pound for pound GOAT, IMO. The food is pretty average, though.
If you add "culture" to the mix, neither USA or NZ are top 10 destinations. Beauty, food, cities + culture and Italy is your winner.

That's how I take turns when I gotta go out on the road and help the boys get caught up. Took one out of the parking lot on Friday I wished I could have watched myself do it was so perfect.
I feel ya man I am also quite comfy in my homeland and feel like everything is how it should be.
Almost all my fave bands were local , no one else talks quite right and my fave time of year is late summer/demolition derby season. I love that smell of those dying cars and that roar when one of them opens up for a big hit.
We carry guns , are proud to work long shifts and we talk fast and are brutally honest and get to the point. And people are funny too. I can't function without that humidity and I die a little inside everytime I hear the word soda.
I respect loving where you come from as a value a great deal.
