Just had my first colonoscopy AMA

Shit is scary. Gotta protect the butthole and assorted bits.
 
My doctor ordered a Cologuard test for me a couple of years ago. The results came back fine so unless the next one says differently I should be good to go for a while.
 
Did you ask for an extra large?

I need to get one myself at some point...hearing about cancer in other people way too much...
 
I've had four and they are no big deal. Like other have said, the prep is the worst part. The Super Prep is the much preferred prep, it's only like 32 oz. The older stuff I had to take for prep in the 90's was the worst. You had ti drink like a fucking gallon.

The good news lads: I never had any polyps. My doctors can assure you I am a perfect asshole.

So you're basing your beliefs on fear mongering? Have you heard of the Dunning-Kruger effect? Your post is an example of it.

Lots of people are dying from many diseases, however cancer doesn’t discriminate whether you’re obese, have diabetes or not. Neither are significant risk factors of colon cancer. As far as reducing risks nothing beats having a colonoscopy done when it’s recommended for you (usually at 45 years old, often times much younger if you are higher risk due to family history or you have some type of disease such as IBD). Over 30% risk reduction for developing colon cancer and over 60% reduction from dying if one unfortunately gets colon cancer.

I'm just using common sense, not going off of fear mongering. Vegetables coated in glyphosate are surely going to cause damage to your system. Whether it specifically causes colon cancer, some other type of cancer or some other disease, I don't know. But I do know it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to know that pouring chemicals all over our food to make it more profitable for farmers is not in the best interest of our health.

If all you need is to read some studies to tell you that it's all perfectly safe, then be my guest and believe that. I'll go on using old fashioned common sense and you can "trust the science". But remember, there was a time when the science also said that smoking wasn't bad for you as well.

People have to pay for these studies and normally the ones paying for them are looking for the studies to prove a certain thing that will be profitable for them.
