Just finished rewatching The Sopranos again and...

I've come to the conclusion that it is in fact the best TV series of all time. The only other shows that comes close is The Wire and Six Feet Under, but Sopranos reigns supreme over both of them. Breaking Bad shouldn't even be in the discussion imo, because it doesn't have the same rewatch value compared to those shows.

It's one of the few series i have rewatched and the ONLY series I have watched 3 or more times.

It’s the darkest humor you can get. Gandolfini created an amazing character . If any tv family came close to being real for me, it would be the Sopranos. It’s a great representation of what a wealthy non-WASP family would look like. Everything from the first get DVD player to the high school kids being nice to AJ because of who his father is and because he has money.

The show has as many dark moments as GoT imo. Maybe not in terms of gore, but in terms of viciously killing off beloved characters that you are invested in.

I would agree if they didn't drop the ball in Season 7. It's still a great show don't get me wrong, but I think Sopranos has remained more consistent. We'll see if GoT can finish strong next year.
