DC is pretty lucky that the rematch against Gustafsson hasn’t happened yet. It’s frustrating as a fan when guys like Volkan Oezdimer get title shots over Gus.

Gustafsson nearly finished him in the first fight and would most likely finish the job in the next fight. Gus is younger and is the more skilled fighter.

If you need further proof go and rewatch Gustafsson put a beating on a roided up Jones. DC couldn’t even land a punch on Jones in both of there fights.

The real fight true fans (not casual mcnugget lovers) want to watch is Jones Gustafsson 2.

That only means Cormier is a more accomplished fighter. But Gus could easily be the better fighter currently. Based on their first about 50/50 fight you cant tell either way, but DC is getting old so imo its more likely Gus would beat him now.

Gus lost a close one to Bones (he did lose)

Gus lost to DC after he got KTFO by Rumble who DC finished twice

Now that I think about it Gus sure loses a lot of key fights......!
