Just banned in 2016?

Machida isn't spinning anything u twerp. Not all changes happened in 2015 june, some of them happened later on. And why are you crucifying Machida for this? It's not a fucking Roids, it's anti aging cream.
if it has no benefit, why is he popping the pills then "u twerp"

IV policy didnt, but Nevada for instance follow the WADA banned list and have done for years.

Is this an absolute fact? WADA allowed TRT therapy aswell?

I know they worked together but I thought the regulations varied depending on state.

No, but Nevada didnt allow TRT either

They allowed TUE's for TRT. Big difference.

Machida is clearly talking about the fact that it was just banned as far as the UFC is concerned with the change to USADA. He still should have known better.

he is wrong about it being banned in 2016, but between now and his last fight against yomero is when the ufc began adhering by usada standards. perhaps dhea was not banned by most athletic commissions acting independent of usada/wada.

man, i definitely am inclined to believe he truly didnt know he was taking a banned substance. for one, DHEA is naturally produced by your body so it's probably not that easy to test for as the baseline will already be there. i think he put that supplement down legitimately not knowing it contained banned substances.

still, he has banned substances in his body and should not be allowed to fight, and should be punished for it, despite what i believe to simply be ignorance.

hopefully more fighters and/or managers will do a better job of checkin their supps..

He fought hendo in 2013 in california.

here is part of the banned list from the california commission in 2013:

DHEA has been banned in sports for so long that i don't believe for a second machida didn't know

Well yeah obviously exemptions for therapeutic use, BUT my question was:

If WADA was the overall governing body on substance use... Why was there such discrepancies between for example the NSAC and CSAC?

Damn, bringing out the evidence.. good on you. thanks.

Wada produce the prohibited list, thats all, they define the list of products banned in sport.

Wada signatories adhere to the entire list, other sports bodies, comissions etc may adhere to all or part of it.

nevada for instance, adhered to the banned list, but allowed TUE's for TRT for many years which conflicts with the WADA code.

but DHEA has been on the anabolic agents section of the WADA code for years and was pretty standard for all commissions.

@raconnor is discovering how much fun it is to point out facts to stupid people :D

I dunno m8, this whole thing just seems disorganized.

I remember the NSAC and WADA varied in allowed t/e levels from 4:1 to 6:1 and other such discrepancies.

Same thing when TRT was banned from the NSAC, I believe the CSAC still allowed it.

Point is this whole mess is not only pointless, USADA adding their own policies to the mix makes things more absurd.

So the definitive answer for DHEA being banned across the board by every commission is yes?

Looks like it was banned in 2012, but if it's actually just an over the counter supplement I wouldn't hold it against a fighter for not being aware of it.

why is anyone surprised about this? look at the blackhouse 58 year old strength and conditioning coach

Rogerio Camoes is a frickin' monster. And one of the best coaches in the business.

Machida never struck me as natural. Then he was explaining it with urine drinking and I could tell he was not trustworthy.

Nevada using WADA list as far back as 2013

So it was banned for his fight with Weidman

And from their written policy

you can buy sustanon 250 over the counter in thailand no problem, completely legally. would you hold it against zingano if she gets busted for high test?
