I thought the trailers were terrible and this is more confirmation.

Sicario 2 here we go!!!!!!
I hope sicario 2 doesn't suck. this summer isn't stacked with good movies only other movie I can think of is ant-man and the wasp.

How about going to see the movie and making your own opinion? It was never meant to be anything than a dumb popcorn movie anyway. Got my imax ticket for friday, no regrets.

LOL at Antman and the "Wasp"... hollywood has truly ran out of ideas.

Whatever your thoughts about superhero movies, it is the logical progression of Antman based on the first movie...

If its close to as fun as the first Ant-Man, it'll be a blast and worth the ticket price.

Taking my daughter, 5, and her two oldest cousins, 5 & 10, to this on Friday. Im excited and have zero expectations. I just want to get sick on popcorn.

Exactly. I think Ant Man is on lower-mid-tier of MCU movies but that's no knock to it at all.

- Rudd was great. Ideal really.
- Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas were well cast and did a very good job in roles that were quite substantial
- The size-changing while in mid-movement effects were just so much fun.

I for one am amped for the sequel.

Trailers did not look great, to say the least. But I'm a Pratt fan and will give any movie with dinosaurs in it a chance lol.

The thing is, there was only one amazing Jurassic Park film as far as I'm concerned. And for all Jurassic World's- let's forget the last two sequels mentality, I didn't think it was substantially better than The Lost World or JP III. They are all sort of on par. Not bad. Pretty good. Fun. Nothing special. That's just my thought.

Jurassic World had a ton of good will because it was the first Jurassic Park movie in over a decade and because the novelty of a working park was a nice conceit.

I enjoyed it a ton as well. Michael Pena was hilarious, Rudd was a well cast as Scott Lang, Lilly was fantastic as the no-nonsense, ass kicking, 'straight guy' and Douglas was convincing as Hank Pym. The rest of the cast was good too, the new step-dad, Judy Greer, the crew (T.I. and the Russian dude), just a great ensemble.

I like Greer. She always pops up in stuff. great character actress.

Good call on Cannavale as the step dad. I always respect when they avoid the "new love interest is a dick trope." The guy was a nice, likable dude and went into action to help when the shit was going down.

TI and the Russian dude were solid. It was cool to see that guy in a non-creepy role. I always think of him with that sadistic smile in The Dark Knight and as the strange murder suspect in Prisoners...but in Ant Man he was just a lighthearted member of the crew.

Pena was hilarious. The two long-winded stories- particularly the one at the end ("Cause I keep mad secrets for you, bro."..."He said YES." Always liked Pena. I thought Crash was really overrated for a best picture winner but Pena was the best part. He was also awesome in End of Watch.

Yes Bobby Cannavale! I could not remember his name for shit but he was great, just a nice dude trying to do right by his step daughter.

T.I. has became a good enough actor, he has natural charisma and giving him roles that allow him to showcase his playful, charismatic personality really improves a movie.

Pena is great, he's fantastic. Crash de f didn't deserve the Oscar, worst Best Picture I can remember, but he de f stood out. He was great as the fake Arab in American Hustle and he was very good in The Martian too.

Ant-Man could've been super cheesy and lame but the great actors and fun story really made it fun to watch, just a great heist movie with some cool ass shrinking effects, the fight scene in the briefcase w the Cure song playing was awesome.

Yep, they put all the best movies at the very start of summer. Besides Ant Man, I dont know what is worth seeing...

I rewatched it last week. Ant Man was just a perfectly fun movie and delivered exactly as promised for what the story was about..

One of the problems with the summer was the Infinity War set the bar so high. Marvel has had that first weekend of May (in this case last weekend of April) on lock for years, but even a movie like Civil War, as awesome it was, didn't make me think that the rest of the summer was going to pale by comparison. To me, Infinity War was the epitome of superhero blockbuster. I loved it.

But even if we don't argue that that film set a very high bar that made it a tough act to follow, I think the summer was frontloaded in general. Deadpool 2 was a lot of fun and that was early. Solo was underseen, but I really thought it was one of the more purely entertaining Disney Star Wars films and deserved a wider audience. Skip ahead a bit and The Incredibles 2 was awesome but we still aren't that deep in the summer movie season and most of the highly anticipated films have already dropped.

Other than Ant-Man and The Wasp and Mission Impossible 50, there's not much else that is on my radar.

Jurassic World is a film I will certainly see but I was never really itching to see it.

Oh, also, Upgrade was an awesome film that I hope develops a big cult following.

Disappointed to here this sucks. I only just finally watched Jurassic World last week with the wife and enjoyed it, regardless of how stupid it was.

Hopefully this franchise dies now. They should have stopped after the first movie.

Bringing in Michelle Pfeiffer, Laurence Fishburne and Walton Goggins has me hyped for the sequel.
