Media Julianna Pena on her return vs Harrison: "It’s gonna take some time. Im bulking up". Eyes summer return.

So 2026 until we get the only fight that's interesting in Nunes vs Kayla

annoying loudmouth who got a lucky decision to win back the belt is now gonna hold onto it in the most boring UFC women's division

how thrilling

Would not doubt it if she spends a year bulking up to ultimately be ragdolled

Likely outcome but fuck it. She's giving herself the best chance to win.

And eh, Kayla didn't look that hot in her last fight Pena might be onto something.
I do recognize that Kayla didn't do a ton of ragdolling in her last fight. She will apparently have plenty of time to adjust and figure out the cut. Whatever the case, would rather see a fight than a squash match, so agree that it is good that Pena is doing what she feels she needs to do.

I love both of these women. Happy to see both of them get the shine. Let's go.

She fought in october, She wouldn't be holding it up for a year not even 10 months, Actually pennington took about the same time to lose in her first defense to pena anyway.
I get the feeling the long layoff was as much Pena fault as Pennington's. UFc booked Pena again and Pennington had to wait for someone who historically fights 1x a year, whose only active win is her last.

I think Kayla didn´t look that good in her last fight because it was the first time she fought at that weight.
Question for me is if Pena is ready to fight till Kayla retires...

So she's going to sit out a year to bulk up? <lol>

Strip this chick of the title Dana. Why did she get the title shot over Harrison in the first place?
Summer wouldnt be a year, but its def a while.

It was her second fight at that weight.

She said Kayla will likely throw her on her head and ragdoll her early, but her cardio and overall grit will win her the fight.

Pena talks alot but her confidence isn't a shtick. That part is real.

haha I love that Pena admits she's a bum and can't beat anyone decent without just surviving and taking over when they slow.

That's pretty much always her gameplan and she's managed to have a decent career because of it.

Kayla looked worse because she's fighting better fighters.

It was easy to look good against absolute cans with little experience back in PFL. When she fought girls like Larissa, Mokatina, and even Ladd, she didn't look half as good, and Larissa actually beat her finally.

She's trying to drag it out as long as possible to hurt Kayla. Kayla isn't long for the division so the older she gets, the harder the cut will be for her. Pena is playing 4D chess while Kayla is running out of time.
