Summary of this discussion:
1. Lots of cyborg lovers think she is much better than Amanda. I am not so sure about that. She has been fighting cans, so it is hard to compare. She is a great fighter overall, but so is Amanda.
2. There is clear discrepancy about the interpretation of Cyborg moving away from UFC. At that time, everyone wanted to see a rematch, including the UFC. Then, that video came out where she acted childish and she got released. I don't think she would have gotten released otherwise.
3. They said that Cyborg did not quit because she got rocked and kept fighting recklessly. I saw the same with Amanda, before she tapped out prematurely. When they were faced with adversity they went on autopilot fear mode. In both situations, I think it is the lack of experience with adversity that might have played a role. Charles might have acted like that as well in the beginning, but has been able to adjust.
4. They said that Amanda gassed, which is true but is easier to lose stamina on adrenaline/fear mode. Amanda has always been in great shape. it is tough to believe that this would have changed in a couple of months, though cannot exclude that COVID-19 could have influenced her.
5. I guess most people agree that Amanda, quitter or not, is better than Pena. I want to see this rematch.
