Juey duty summons.

i have been summoned to jury duty 4 or 5 times. never showed. they mail it. they can't assume you received it
I just threw them in the trash for over 15 years and they never did shit about it.

Then I got curious and actually reported in once. I didn't get selected, but for some reason I never got another summons and it's been 8 or 9 years. I think someone accidentally deleted me from the system.

Is it federal or state?
You won't get it here in GA if you aren't registered to vote.

Don’t they only pay you like $10-15/day to begin with?

My other gripe with jury duty is they should feed jurors every day but instead they do the opposite and upcharge at the restaurants at the court. Eating at the subway at the court cost me 20 per day. there was another subway 3 blocks away that was only 11 bucks for a combo meal.

Yeah something like that iirc the first day isn't even paid I did seven days and my stipend was for 6 days it came out to 100 some how. I would be less pissed if they said you get like a 1000 tax deduction for jury duty.

Up at 530 to go down to shithole Detroit and be disarmed and completely out of my element . I almost feel bad for whoever if I get selected due to how irritated I'm feeling already about this already.

Don't have much to say other than this fuckin sucks and I'm cranky and wanted to tell someone.

But it's my civic duty and ya gotta go.

Whoever the hell did whatever the hell they did to cause this to happen to me deserves the chair lol.

Never had to do jury duty. A mate of mine did, was a rape case, guy got off, he said/she said basically, I'd rather a white collar crime than rape or something like that, fuck those details.

I new I was home free when defense started asking questions about did 9/11 make you feel a certain way. I got a golden ticket ...
Hope ya get a Civil Trial instead of Criminal, last year sat on a Civil Jury 1/2 million dollar lawsuit that took 10 full days with wild testimony and a zillion objections. You 12 find a Guilty verdict on a Criminal Trial, someone's freedom is normally at stake, it's deep.

I love Tuxes. Coolest cats ever.
Cats in some states know how to escape Jury Duty.

Just throw the summons out next time, I never got it

At least I have the dream
Was more of a nightmare so far tonight, two brawls and everything is stickier than usual. Not even bar close yet. Learn to code bro, Waffle House is not the panacea it's made out to be.

oh. :(

Go commit a felony.

Don’t they not select people who have prior convictions?

So the trick is that when you get the summons you call them up and postpone it.

Tell them you're available the week after Christmas. Then when that comes you call in every morning as instructed and find out you don't need to go into court because all of the judges are on vacation.

Or he could just explain to the attorneys how he spells the word Jury, and they will let him go with no hesitation..

I suck at spelling and math. Even worse when I'm half asleep

But to be fair thats not so much I cant spell as I didn't notice my fat fucking thumb hit the wrong button

Lol I just noticed it.

Blurt this out no matter what question they ask you: "I think vigilante justice is an underutilized tool in today's society."

It's boring but I actually don't mind it. I usually tell the judge I'm more than happy to serve on jury as I love the idea that I have the power to save or ruin someone's life. I tell him I find it invigorating and sometimes get sexually aroused by the thought of jury duty.

Tell them you have pot induced psychosis and can’t be trusted to judge law breaking scum properly

It was also really funny watching people struggle to answer that question and walk the pc line. It was like being on a game show and I was dying to yell out the go home answer.

Lol.
