Josh Thomson reminds Nate that he finished him

I love the finish as much as anyone, but didn't Thomson pop for PEDs afterward?

Should call it AntiDana/Anti UFC podcast. I don't listen to it but when there are clips it's worse than Campari.

It’s a great podcast. I don’t hear Dana get much attention on it to be honest. They focus on the fights, even more so on UFC cards than Bellator cards

???

He dominated Melendez in their first fight to win the Strikeforce title.

They're 2-1 and Melendez had lots of title defenses. Him and Nick were the faces of that period Strikeforce. They wanted Gil to beat top fighters of other orgs like with bringing in Aoki and Kawajiri, as Coker wanted Gil to be seen as the best LW in the world, UFC included. And there was a case he was.

Thomson was firing on all cylinders that night, I consider that one of the best octagon performance ever. He finished a guy that nobody finishes. Certainly much more impressive than Max's fight if you take recency bias out of the equation

Thomson's performance was right up there with Silva over Leben

Didn’t josh say he has a permanent dent on his shin from that kick? The fact Nate didn’t even get k.od after that while barrage shows he has the best chin in mma hands down

Nate got dropped by Conor multiple times. I think Mousasi has the best chin as he took a spinning back kick to the face, then a flying knee, and still wasn’t out

He was SF champ and most thought he got robbed against Benson right after Benson lost the title to Pettis
Benson sure fell off a cliff. His ceiling was to narrowly beat or lose to top 10ish fighters. Not much room for error. Of course those errors come at some point and then he's just OK. Beat the piss out of Nate, though.

The win wasn't overturned.
I also haven't found him being accused of PED use at any time.

A fighter named James Thompson popped at one time, but he's a heavyweight.

Josh was kicked off the commentary booth and Big John stuck at being a ref then Bellator took them on and gave them a shot to do media. Now they started a podcast dedicated to shit talk the UFC

Yeah Nate was one of the only fights against top comp he really won dominantly. You can tell who's using fight finder/wiki when they talk about his defenses/rankings

Nate gets dropped all the time but never k.od clean , mousasi chin is definitely up there though probably better

Saucy is up there for sure

I think it might be Pettis currently

He's fought

RDA
Max
Cowboy twice
Barboza
Wonderboy
Tony
Dustin
Eddie
Giblert
Stephens
Nate
Jim
Charles

And was never KOd or anywhere close really. Only TKO was to Max from body shots after a horrific weight cut should've never even been at 145. Other stoppage losses were doc or injury related

Let’s be real, Nate beats Thomson 8/10 times they fight. Certainly if they fight right now although that will never happen

Purime Josh was a better fighter and a bad matchup for Nate. Too smart and technical. He beats any version of Nate

Against common opponents (Franca, Benson) Josh also looked way better.

Benson should have lost quite a few of his split decisions but that fight wasn't one of them.
