I heard the scream during the live broadcast, but only now with the benefit of knowing what to focus on did I see Joe as he was screaming—and the way his legs kick up as if from a violent spasm is almost as chilling as the sound he makes.

I think he was just really disoriented and startled, he had all that adrenaline going one minute with a guy trying to punch/choke him unconscious, then the next second he’s got a bunch of people standing over him.
