Majdi Shammas, Knutsson's manager, says it was all due to her last fight where the UFC thought she would win. They chose to release her on a winning record because "they
want to see more of her" before another UFC bout can become prevalent. According to Shammas, him and Knutsson's team are holding a good dialouge with the UFC. He also
means that the door stands open for a return to the UFC in the future when they have seen her fight elsewhere.

...OK? Your thoughts on this kinda odd situation?

They've never seemed to be fully in on her for whatever reason, didn't take her after winning on road to UFC, didn't give her a contract on DWCS and took her as a late replacement then released her after her first loss.
Kinda justified with how useless she looked in the grappling department against Piera tbh. What's against her is the fact that she's already 29 so working her way back to the UFC, and shoring up weaknesses along the way, is pretty tough. Maybe she pulls a Hill, maybe not.

Eh, most people get more than one chance.

Even that giant Cuban got two, and he is the worst grappler in history.

It's literally the lack of finishes/threat.

Even then they'll let it slide unless the fighter is really boring. I don't recall any of her fights in the UFC being excessively boring (her road to UFC one was because the Korean girl just ran)

Like you say, I don't think they wanted to hire her particularly, and her streak of decisions goes back to the regionals. That she doesn't even lose with a finish was probably the end.

I doubt she gets back without a KO on her record, but let's see.

Imagine thinking the sole reason behind a female fighter getting cut is a lack of finishes ffs.

She looks problematic. Rarely smiles. Money and manager issues with the UFC imo.

I have been following her career for a while and I kinda get it.

She has tremendous potential and she could be a real contender, but that last fight was very disappointing. She showed some really big holes in her game.

They should have just resigned her since she is probably already better than much of the roster, but a year or two outside the UFC might be good for her development.

Yeah the potential seems to be all there but however much time she is dedicating to wrestling, she needs to spend four times the amount. She's coming from a camp which develops good TDD actually so it's surprising she hasn't at least learned the most basic TDD yet.

Not the ones who are winning forgettable decisions in fights where they're being setup to score highlight reel finishes. Josefine should be easily wrecking cans like Verbeek and Mann within a round, that's what the matchups were for. She failed, and then she lost to some unranked fighter who doesn't even have a wikipedia page. Bottom line, she's an early prelim fighter who can't even crush a can properly and lost to the first journeyman level fighter she went up against, that's not exactly a recipe for success in the UFC.

Fuck me, you really need a new obsession you autistic creep.

You have an ignore function. Use it. Or am I the reason you get out of bed?
