Been lurking on Sherdog for the past few months, and notice that Jose Aldo rarely gets mentioned on here. I think we should give some more praise to the dominant champion who was unbeaten for over a decade.

Lets post some facts about Jose Aldo. Also, when did you become a fan of Jose Aldo? What do you like most about him?

I'll start. I have been an Aldo fan since his early days before the UFC. I like the fact that he was humble and respectful, and has the best leg kicks.

Fun facts
- Jose Aldo defeated Cub Swanson in just 8 seconds
- Has the most title defenses in featherweight history
- He was once ranked as the number one fighter in the UFC
- Youngest champion in WEC history at only 23
- Fought his first professional fight at 17 years old
-Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

-Claimed that he was in training just in case he got a short notice rematch with Conor if RDA dropped out. Two weeks later, RDA drops out and Aldo turned down the fight lol

Youngest world champion in MMA history at 23 years, 2 months.

Has the 2nd longest win streak among GOAT candidates at 18.

Undefeated for 10 years and 9 title defenses in one of MMA’s most stacked division.

WEC FW champ and 2 time UFC FW champ

Aldo is in my top 5 favourite fighter list. After so many years of dominance he still put on the best "small men" fight I´ve ever seen against prime Mendes, a fight that was awarded FOTY in 2014.

Jose Aldo is between 3 and 7 feet tall.
Jose Aldo may or may not be a black man.

Only bitter fans like you would hold that against such a spectacular fighter like Aldo.

Another fun fact. Conor Mcgregor never gave Aldo a rematch, and vacated his FW belt to fight Nate Diaz, who choked him out, and then he went into boxing and was TKO'd by Floyd Mayweather in the biggest fight in combat history with over 4 million PPV's purchased

He didn't vacate the FW belt to fight Nate.

I don't think you know what facts mean.

Esoj Odla is Jose Aldo spelled backwards.

Let that sink in...

okay but he vacated the belt, and fought Nate instead of giving Jose a rematch
Conor knows that if he fought Aldo again, he would be more cautious, and no matter what happens, it will not be as impressive as his first victory

Yeah Aldo might last a whole minute next time.

Here is a fun fact:

Max made Jose panic wrestle.
