Jose Aldo Father is dead - Lost respect for Conor

Nobody knows that and highly doubt Conor knew. Stop crying.

I think this article is classless point scoring, you are doing the very same thing you're complaining about in order to have a dig at Conor.

Tut Tut...

lol @ this thread, clearly geared to get people to hate McGregor. TS is a bum.

Potty mouth?

Did you really type that to describe cursing? Quit acting like a overly sensitive, white knighting ass bitch and grow a pair

You act like a belligerent turd of a child and I will speak to you like one. I'm nobodies white knight, but I don't need to be to draw attention your insipid contribution to this forum. Given that you are the one who was getting mad and lashing out I'd suggest you are the hypersensitive bitch that needs to grow up.

Truth, it's embarrassing, but even moreso that folks took the bait. Still cannot get my head around why so many people on this site are so ready to dislike people they've never met.

Considering it is not common knowledge that his father passed away, you cannot lose respect for Connor for saying some of the most common trash talk in the business.

I have never understood why people put so much emphasis on meeting someone face-to-face. Isn't knowing enough things about someone to form an opinion enough? I don't need to meet Dylann Roof to know he is a bad guy. I don't need to meet Kim Kardashian to find her annoying. It's one thing to say "that they know nothing about". But meeting someone isn't really a prerequisite imo. Certainly not all the time anyway.

Nice post OP

I wouldn't lose respect for Conor for this though (there are plenty of other things lol) - I am sure Conor did not know - but it does show us in general how we all often speak without thinking.

You really think Connor knew this when he said that? I seriously doubt Connor had intentions at all about relating this to Aldo's dead father.

It's just a common saying to trash talk

There we go then. There's nothing special about Cloner's trash talk.
Or for that matter, anything else about him
A lot of it seems to be lifted, tbh.

The haters are hoping ANYTHING sticks. They're still discussing Conor and the model hoping it will bring Conor down. Heck even Aldo hasn't jumped on it. Desperate people do desperate things.

lol

So clueless, Your response is why it's being done

:)

Geez. With that thread title, you'd think Conor killed Jose's dad.

hahah who needs your respect anyway lol

He was simply talking trash, the fact that Aldo's father is dead did not come into Conor's head when he said it...completely separate and irrelevant. And thanks to Conor talking trash like this Aldo will be able to further his dream of not having to work because he will make more money off this fight than probably ALL of his previous fights together.

Absolutely pathetic that anonymous posters online would influence your opinion of a fighter. What if we all started praising your mom? Are you gonna hate her too?

You're far too involved in this place. Acting like this is your life.

I'll take the fall of Connor in order to have all the annoying fucks in here silenced. And btw dont be so dramatic. How am I "far too involved in this place. Acting like this is your life" based on one message. I literally only check this place and read about MMA during downtime at work. Hardly acting like this is my life. Maybe go attack some platinum posters or something.

As usual, thought provoking stuff from the dude with the awesome Sagat AV.

I'll acknowledge there are plenty of people who one does not need to meet to know whether they are a good person or a bad person. That's a fact. But I'd hope people would also acknowledge that often professional fighters are playing a role which will benefit them in their careers - in fact I'd say Conor is one of the best examples of that - and that he cannot be known all that well just from his edited, scripted moments on screen.

Someone like Jones, who is involved in a hit and run and returns to grab his cash 'n' stash obviously lacks some sort of moral imperative and we may not need to meet him in order to determine he is likely a bit of a prick. But often things just aren't that simple. You (and I) may find Conor's character offputting, but I am willing to bet that he doesn't behave like an obnoxious wanker at all times in his private life.
