Quick thread about two guys who I always enjoyed watching but who could never quite put it together in the UFC. Calvacante in particular was a big disappointment for me. The UFC would also never give them squash matches when they were on the roster. Mostly top guys

Calvacante beating a young Romero

Santiago destroying everyones favorite punching bag Sean Salmon

Thought Santiago would be a star in the UFC... Had a good skillset... Feijao…. dude was a monster. But his stock faded quick.

Feijao was a victim of USADA methinks

Santiago i dunno. Thought he would do better

Feijao's success can be safely attributed to PEDs I think. Just not the same fighter after he popped, like night and day.

Santiago had a fantastic skill set but his chin let him down. He was even KOed by a guy that ended up at Bantamweight.

Jorge Santiago was one of those guys that could've been one of the all time greats if he could've just taken a solid punch consistently.

Brian Stann and Thiago Silva were both underdogs.

Fucking "hardcore" fans on here were sucking their dicks like crazy...

Feijao did get Igor P, Cummings and OSP...I thought those were fair fights to make. Many picked him vs Silva and Bader as well.

feijao looked good when he beat mo but hendo pounded his shit in lol

thats when hendo was on his TRT comeback path of destruction

Bump

Saw feijao vs mo today.

To bad it didn’t really happen for him after that

Jorge Santiago is doing great things with Usman. In my opinion a lot of Usman's wins over Maia, Woodley etc must have been at least partially because of mr. Sandman

He looks like a great guy and exceptional coach, i remember this moment he had with Maia and it felt so real and genuine that i couldn't help but be happy for the guy the moment one of his students ended up becoming a champ.

I see a lot of talk about Usman's striking and overall coach in Henri Hooft, but Santiago doesn't get enough credit so i just wanted to highlight his participation.
