I haven't seen this movie and I don't plan on seeing it unless I'm in a group and someone decides to put it on.

I was not a fan of key and owe me. I thought they were another show, in a long list of shows that tried to fill the Chappell show void.

Shit, that void was so big I haven't eve. Watched the new wave Chappell shit that they just came out with.

This comes closer than anything else I've read that explains my biggest question about the plot: Why black guys?

Undocumented immigrants would be more attractive targets as they would have fewer people looking for them and fewer records confirming who they are.

Honestly you could use immigrants and pretty much have the same movie with very little difference. Why he used blacks instead of immigrants? Who knows maybe because he's black part black he decided to do something he's more familiar with.

The core plot is the same. People swapping bodies through nefarious means. However Skeleton Key is a garbage movie. If there is someone out there who's seen both and likes SK more, I don't want to talk about movies with that person.
Get Out is also the unofficial sequel to Being John Malkovich.;)

I'm that person.

This movie is like Robocop in that people take it literally when really it's just a social satire. It's a mediocre Horror/Thriller, yet a tremendous satire.

I gave it an 8. I loved it. Horror isn’t really my thing. But it was just original and interesting. And the unintentional racism was so perfect and the tension was very palpable and realistic. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I might have given it a 9 if I liked horror films more.

Meh. I liked it but it felt like he re-constructed the premise of Stepford Wifes and Rose Mary's baby and cleverly dissects racism. Also one of original planned endings has him arrested at the end but decided to go with a more hopeful aspect of him being rescued by a friend instead.

Some dude is trying to make everyone good at math by putting Asians’ brains in his family’s bodies. I’d watch it. It is an ultimately self defeating strategy because they will eventually have to drive a car. And they will fail.

Who uses the word orientals anymore anyway?

My 45 year old co-worker from Texas, dude is a closet racist but not a bad guy.

Definitely seemed like it was headed that way. When the cop car pulled up I said oh fuck don't tell me....I thought it was gonna be the white cop from the beginning of the movie, that would have been some shit.

I just saw it 2 days ago on HBO, very good movie, I rated it an 8. I honestly went in not really knowing it was a horror type movie. I didn't know much about it tbh. Just that it had to do with some race topics and that it was about a black guy meeting his gf's white family. I thought it was gonna deal with some real world issues and it ended up being a fucked up horror movie, lol. Still good though.

Lol really?
I would have preferred that ending.
Would've been more realistic.

uh oh...

Ok. though it is NOT deserving of the 99% score, but its a helluva lot better than TLJ.
2 different genres, sure, but what would you rate this? RT score wise.

How would I rate it. . . Good question. If you're asking for an RT score, maybe 75% sounds appropriate? So a 7.5.

It's a well-made film, but it's nowhere close to my Top 10. Probably would fall somewhere in the 21-30 range.
