You give the game away when you try and pretend Jon Jones' legacy isn't already set
Something that's probably at play and that nobody talks about is that the real reason Jon wants to fight Stipe is because Stipe is the only other man to beat DC.Aspinall barely has a top 5 win. A win over Aspinall means absolutely nothing to Jones legacy. He Destroyed Gane and wants a win over the longest reigning HW champ in UFC history to wrap things up. I'm okay with it.
I’ll rephrase that a TKO loss is a loss!
No it wasntfinishing gane in 15 seconds isn`t a challenge?
Tom will do nothing for Jones. Just shut up and delete your accountTells you everything you need to know. Jon doesn’t have a warriors spirit. He’s happy to feather his nest and lie to his own fans. I mean sure he puts in a lot of time training in the gym which not everyone can do, but as far as his character and how he reacts to struggles inside and outside the cage, he’s not an example to follow. Genuinely don’t know how this guy has any fans. From the first time I heard him speak I knew he was a fake guy, you could hear how contrived his words were. This was when he was in his religious holier than thou phase lol, remember that.
His legacy is cemented. Stipe would be icing on the cake, and is a very winnable fight..
holy run-on sentence. TRIGGEREDAt this point, Stipe isn't relevant anymore. If fans don't want to see it, and aren't interested, what do you expect fans to say? Why are you taking Jon's perspective, of "I would rather fight the older weaker guy"? We can see the Aspinall is the greater challenge, based on how he fights, and you revert to records, which by this point, Stipe's accomplishments are in the past. Aspinall is current. Yes, I understand the argument that Jon wouldn't want to fight that, but if that's the biggest challenge, and champions are supposed to take on the biggest challenge, then that is what fans want to see, and yes, it is fair to say that taking on the biggest challenge would be warrior spirit, and not doing so would not. It is kind of strange to see people say things like, "Stipe would be icing on the cake, and and is a very winnable fight". What? So what? Who said his fight is supposed to be icing on the cake FOR him and he is supposed to take the most winnable fight? I mean, whatever. It might not even be his decision, and Jon can do what he wants. But it's fair for people to see it as is, and would rather see something else.

Exactly, great comparison. It's like Bisping beating old ass Anderson Silva. Nice feather in the cap, cool thing to be able to say, doesn't really mean shit in the grand scheme of things. Nobody says Bisping is now a MW GOAT.
Rescheduling a fight for an injured fighter is a pretty normal thing that's happened throughout the history of the UFC.He already is holding up the division.
He has definitively stated he has no desire whatsoever to fight the top contender in his division or to unify the belts with the interim champion.
How long he is out is completely irrelevant.
He won't even be fighting Stipe until the summer at the very earliest, maybe even later on in the year than that. It will have already been a year in March.
But again, that's irrelevant. He's holding up the division because we have a champion that is on record saying he won't fight the top contender/s in his division and he just wants to fight a semi retired old man and retire.
Because at this stage of his career, Jon knows Tom is a bad match up for him. Washed up Stipe is easy moneyTells you everything you need to know. Jon doesn’t have a warriors spirit.
