Jones vs. Cormier does UFC's best pay-per-view numbers in a year

So does MMAfighting.com have rights to disclose Zuffas private information?

My thoughts are that a lot of people are gonna be more hesitant in the future about spending money on a PPV after that card.

My thoughts exactly.

Enjoy your big PPV numbers, Dana, it'll be a long while until anything comes close.

Of course. There wasn't 4 crappy fight night filler cards the previous 4 friday's leading up, and it's a damn good match between the two. Less is more with MMA.

I find it hilarious when a UFC PPV does 200,000 buys it takes months to find out and "that number is just an estimate".

But when a card does really well.....

Anything over 700,000 at this time is solid - extremely solid.

I agree the card should have had more depth to the main card with better match-ups. Hopefully those 750k people will only remember the main event.

But 750k is great

I hadn't paid for a ppv in a long time, bought it, and felt taken after watching it.

Main event wasn't shit. I think it's just your opinion that's shit.

I hate to take sides, but I have to. I agree. To call the main event shit is similar to saying "I don't have an interest in MMA" and that's fine I guess. After all, this is Sherdog.

But it sounds kinda cool though. Like nonchalant....
