the fact that they scored the second round for Jones, they all lose any credit what so ever. Takedowns score a lot of points whether you do anything with it or not and Gus got a clean takedown. If that is not the case, then Jon's takedowns should be excluded since he didn't throw a since strike on the ground.

TS, is that why 90% of pro MMA fighters (many in the UFC) gave it to Gus by split or a draw at best for Jones in order to keep his belt? Is that why more than 2:1 of the fans here on Sherdog and on other MMA forums scored it for Gus 3 rounds to 2? Even Dana White wasn't sure and stopped scoring it after the 3rd or 4th round. No controversy? Yeah right, nice try at brainwashing more intelligent people than you are. For the record, Sports Illustrated scored it a draw if I recall and MMA Now also scored it for Gus. Your own MMA Media outlets (which there's dozens of) have also failed you. Congrats.

Ummm...SI corrected the final score because initially their math was wrong. Read the fight blog. The author incorrectly totaled the score the first time. just saying....

Bones deserves an immediate rematch against Jones. I find it a bit unfair that Jones got to fight Bones after 6 title defenses. Anderson Silva had way more title defenses & has been dying to fight The Spider for years, but Dana never gave Anderson his dream fight. TOTAL BULLSH*T!!!!

They seem to think 'if my guy loses a close decision and I did not think he did then that is controversial' which in fact would make every close decision then controversial.

if every close decision is automatically controversial then no close decision is controversial.
