Jones lost to Gustafsson

No he didnt, he beat him by winning rounds 2,4 and 5. Gus was the only one in danger of being finished at any point and spent the last round and a half running away trying to survive

But sherdoggers would prefer having a blonde blue eyed champ so they can try to hype up muh viking genes, because they cant deal with black excellence. Same reason Anderson was abused on this site during his phenomenal run

The fights with Reyes, Santos and Gustafsson were all close with the Gustafsson fight being the least close

IMO he beat Santos and lost to both Reyes and Gustafsson. Jones for we even told him he needs a finish. Jones even thought he lost. He immediately had an argument post fight defending "why he won". If he clearly one there is no need for that

That being said last night's fight while being close was clearly a loss for Jones and the 1st Gustafsson was even more clearly a loss for Jones

Jones is good but he's hardly the undefeated unbeatable guy many make him out to be

All these fights remind me of boxing. Ya on paper Sugar Ray beat Haggler but everyone with a brain knows that was not accurate. Same with the Lewis Holyfield draw and both GGG Canelo fights

This was Jon's toe 6 months before the Gus 1 fight. Try walking on that, let alone fighting on it.

This is Gus in the 2nd fight getting flatlined, by a Jones with 2 working feet.

Jones beat Gus (Jones 2 4 5)

Santos beat Jones (Santos 1 2 5)

Reyes beat Jones (Reyes 1 2 3)

He only lost to Reyes.

He beat Gus for sure, I never thought Gus beat him.

Only a pussy who never trained would bring up a toe injury from 6 months before. Just shows you never trained or left the basement.

The second pic of Jones finishing Gus is irrelevant because he was on steroids in that fight. Nevada wouldn't even sanction him because they don't sanction fighters with steroids in their system so the UFC moved the whole event to another state a week before the fight.

Stop making excuses for Jon.

Now it's his foot, before that he took Gus lightly or was he out partying all night again? Or was he all coked out? People make so many excuses for his lackluster performances, it's pathetic.

Jon-haters right now:

Watching Jon Jones fight and the immediate aftermath is a beautiful thing to behold.

First you get to see a once in a lifetime athlete with no holes in his game work his wide array of skills, skills that are honed in at a camp where he works like a dog day after day to stay atop the most savage division in the UFC.

When the fight is all said and done and Jon inevitably comes out with a win the second score begins. His desperate opponents and detractors rush online and you see the hive mind reach and grasp for any glimpse of light that may have snuck through the cracks which would paint their challenger as the winner. And it’s never enough.

Jon was born to be King

Jones did lose to Gus, but I don't really see the point of bringing it up now.

I had Gus winning their first fight.

I haven't even watched the last 3 or 4 JJ fights it doesn't interest me much. Glad to hear people think he lost last night and aucks that the judging was crap

Why are you glad if you even didn't watch the fight ?

Gus beat him decisively, he should've gotten an immediate rematch, instead dirty Jones avoided him for 5 years and even when they finally fought he was allowed to take steroids without consequences.

Never been hurt his entire decade+ career, truly the GOAT of our time
Out of prime jones stil wins fights while the other one gets brutaly ko by oldman hendo haha.

Jones is painfully average against fighters his own size. His skill isnt elite, but his reach and length are.

He made a career out of beating older guys past their prime who he had a huge size advantage over. Shogun, Rampage, Rashad Evans, and Cormier (not past his prime but short compared to Jones).

Jones hasnt been impressive for many years now. He arguably lost his last 2 fights.

Destroyed Gus in their 2nd fight. Beat Machida when he was 31 Shogun when he was 30ish, Rampage when he was 32 and Bader when he was young. You're literally just making shit up to hate.

And your point is what?

Reyes was close but most had it for Reyes. Gus 1 was more lopsided against Jones getting a decision

At this point it's clear that Jones needs to get finished otherwise he'll always get the decision no matter how much better the opponent does

Jones did a pretty shitty job of avoiding him by signing to fight him the next year.

Jones/Cormier rivalry overtook Jones/Gus II fan interest after Gus pulled out of UFC 178.

The above, Gus' mixed record after that, Gus injuries, and Jones out of cage dumbassery is what made the rematch take so long.
