The fights with Reyes, Santos and Gustafsson were all close with the Gustafsson fight being the least close

IMO he beat Santos and lost to both Reyes and Gustafsson. Jones for we even told him he needs a finish. Jones even thought he lost. He immediately had an argument post fight defending "why he won". If he clearly one there is no need for that

That being said last night's fight while being close was clearly a loss for Jones and the 1st Gustafsson was even more clearly a loss for Jones

Jones is good but he's hardly the undefeated unbeatable guy many make him out to be

All these fights remind me of boxing. Ya on paper Sugar Ray beat Haggler but everyone with a brain knows that was not accurate. Same with the Lewis Holyfield draw and both GGG Canelo fights

He also lost to Smith via disqualification.

But he was saved by the referee.

Keep crying incel. Jones had 1 working for in Gus 1 fight. He couldn't walk 6 months before that fight, let alone fight.

We saw what happened the second time around....

Jones is painfully average against fighters his own size. His skill isnt elite, but his reach and length are.

He made a career out of beating older guys past their prime who he had a huge size advantage over. Shogun, Rampage, Rashad Evans, and Cormier (not past his prime but short compared to Jones).

Jones hasnt been impressive for many years now. He arguably lost his last 2 fights.

I still think he won the Gus fight. I think he arguably won the Santos fight and it's pretty hard to argue he won the Reyes fight.

I was saying similar things to this back in 2013 and saw the pattern of UFC protecting Jones already developing. This Reyes fight is just the latest in a long line of shady decisions surrounding John Jones and the UFC. Seems they are running out of excuses now since people are nut buying this bs anymore.

I had Jones 3-2, could easily see Reyes 3-2 but I had Gus definitely.

He certainly lost in the streets. Gus took years of his life and made him rethink about moving to HW

Jones won those fights, with the caveat that the illegal knee was def bullshit. I really, really, want Jones to lose. But I scored him winning against Gus, Santos, and Reyes.

Lets not forget he ran from Rumble, postponed the Gus fight for years and, at a bare minimum, roided against DC!

The pattern is absolutely clear Jones is by all objective criteria not only overrated but a fake champ.

I have been saying this for the longest time. Though I do think his skills are elite, I don't think they're GOAT-level.

Yup my thoughts exactly. Been saying it since before Gus 1.

If the fight stays standing and he's fighting someone his height size he is very average. A

HW everyone is pretty much his height size. He might have a grappling skill advantage there but I don't see him being able to get guys down as easy since he won't have a leverage advantage or keeping them there since he'll have a weight disadvantage.

I actually think DC beats more HW than Jones. DC carries his speed to HW. Jones is already slow at LHW. Only safe bet for Jones is DC ironically lol

Thank god I am not the only one who sees this.

    Obvious as day.

You will get dumb responses like "DURRR WHY ISNT THIS OTHER TALL RIGHTER GOOD" that completely ignore your point.

EDIT: For the record, I thought Jones narrowly edged out Gus in fight 1.
But it doesn't change the point.
