Jones keeps talking about how Gane's only real strength is footwork.

Honestly I dont think he should try playing the kicking game w Gane,he needs to get in his face and shoot for the legs. Standing at long range w Gane is his world. This is HW my dude.
I don't believe Jones will have much success shooting traditional doubles and singles against Gane, plus it'll be more taxing on his cardio imo. The smarter move would be going for the clinch with body locks and trips (which Jon is very good at as well).

Itd be good for him to stay close anyway. He could also get some elbows in there,if he fails on the trip.

He took over the 2nd half at LHW against a guy w no experience fighting in the 5th rd. Thats not Gane. Jones wasnt carrying all that extra weight either. Sure he's smart and will try to conserve energy as best as he can but its still uncharted territory for Jones. Gane looks like in striking he can go 15 rounds.
Especially if Jones can get Gane down and keep him there, I don't think he's going to waste energy on top position. He could even out grapple 3 rounds out of 5, then stay defensive standing the other 2 with oblique kicks thrown in between.

I dont see it happenin like that. I think if he grapples 3 out of 5 and Gane is still there,Jon is in trouble already

Gane isnt a known KO artist, Jones has fought better heavy hitters then Gane. Id liken this fight to the Gus fight. Hes dealt with this type of fighter before.
The Gus fight the corrupt judges saved him?

Jones may not be the GOAT (not even top 3 imb) but he does not need to be to beat Gane.

Maybe he has better cardio than ever and fails drug test and fight become NC lol.

Got a good feeling we are going to see something we have not in a long time, some REAL ground and pound. We all know JJ will wrestle at some point but Jones is not just gonna hold him down like Francis did. I don't think Gane will last two minutes under Jones.

Jones will play a safe stand up, land some kicks and jabs and when he can close the distance safely he will get Gane down with ease. Then he is going to break Ganes face with elbows like some young fans have ever seen before.

Jones needs an additional boxing coach.
Brandon Gibson is a Jackson Wink product and hasn't done him any favours regarding his boxing.
Jackson Wink are average kickboxing trainers on a pro level.

Condit was a solid striker against one handed wrestlers 11 years ago in 2012.
He only throws pre trained combos, not going for actual holes. That's why he has the UFC record for most missed punches against Lawler.

Dodson is the only guy from that camp with good hands and he is 5'3, which is a whole different game.

after jones beat gane yall gonna say things like gane is a trash and HW division is weak
lol wait till u guys see how wide of a gap jon jones skill is compared to gane

lmao

I don't think he'll play any stand up game with Gane. I think he'll clinch and look to finish early via GnP. Jackson fighters don't fuck around when it comes to game plans.

Jones standup is excellent, he might not have power but he's defensively sound and has chosen to stand with strikers to prove a point. I think as a plan B he could stand with Gane assuming he's not blown away by his power, but Gane isn't really know to be a powerful guy. I could see Jones outpointing in a gritty standup war. Gane is technical for a HW, but lets not forget how good Jones standup is. Even with that, he has his wrestling which is Gane's weakness and that's Jones A game.
What people forget is that Jones' striking is only good when people freeze up in front of him, especially when he out-reaches them by a foot. That's not going to happen in this fight. If Jones has to stand up with Gane, he will be humiliated. Gane's speed, footwork, and hand speed are all way to much for Jon. He needs to throw a wet blanket over him for 5 rounds and hope he gets 3 of them.

I totally agree. At the same time if one calf kick gets landed on him I fear it could put him in danger.

Thats true. And Jones is being honest.

What he is supposed to say ?

He is much younger and better everywhere. He will beat me easy.
I had to come back to collect a paycheck ?

Gane isn't better than John everywhere, just on the feet potentially. And of course Jon is trying to get into Gane's head, but I do think if he struggles to get Gane down or if he can't get him out of there early, he will def try to stifle his movement by going for oblique kicks.

Jones will leg kick and teep kick and oblique kick Gane a lot in this fight, way too many people falling for the crafty Jones and Greg Jackson games about wrestling, maybe just a lot of new fans, anyhow I know how crafty they are and how they operate.. Jones is focused on striking, a takedown attempt perhaps to keep Gane wary of it.

The fact they are showing these wrestling vids and talking about it means the exact opposite they are planning to do, its a game that Jones and Greg Jackson have played always and I don't see it changing as its been successful.
