Jones is statistically a better striker than Adesanya

Jones would easily win and it is not at all surprising that he is the better striker in MMA. The threat of the takedown changes everything and Jones has gone 14 years in the UFC without ever being dropped let alone stopped with strikes and that was against FAR greater competition.

Izzy is a GOOD but not great fighter who is still woefully one-dimensionally and he's very fortunate to be competing in one of the thinnest divisions of any era EVER. He rarely wins convincingly even when he's fighting opponents tailor made for him to beat so no, I wouldn't put him anywhere near the top 20 GOAT list let alone believe he could do anything against Jones.
Rarely wins convincingly?
The Whittaker rematch and Romero staring contest. No other win for him has been debatable including the win over Gastelum.

Anyone who thinks Jon is a better striker needs to get their eyes and probably brain checked and I hate Adesanya.
That being said Jon is a wrestler so this is a pointless argument.

Jones and Adesanya are the same height and similar reach. But for all Adesanya's kickboxing accolades and experience, Jones is statistically better everywhere standing.

Per the UFC site - Jones has much better defence. Adesanya absorbs twice as many significant strikes per minute as Jones, 3 vs 1.5. He has an overall striking defence rate of 56% compared to 67% for Jon.

Jones also has higher striking accuracy and a more much more diverse range of attacks. (Knees, spin kicks, elbows, oblique kicks)

Intangibles like cardio and chin also go to Jon.

Both in their primes, how would you see a stand up fight between them at LHW playing out?

Those numbers are skewed because fighters are afraid of jones grappling and takedowns
