honestly look at his resume and tell me its not better then Anderson's, GSP's, or Fedor's.
And once he beats cormier and gus again he will be the undisputed GOAT. in my opinion it goes 1. Jones, 2. Anderson, 3.GSP, and 4. Fedor

It's not better than GSP's, that's for sure.

Give it about 3 more title defenses....and I agree.

If he beats DC and Gus, then it'll be Jones, GSP, Fedor, Silva.

He certainly has been one of the most dominant champions (save for GUS), and has pretty much cleaned the whole division out at this point. If he beats DC and Gus in the rematch, he definitely is up there with AS imho.

how a guy that spent his entire career beating up mw can be the GOAT of anything?

gsp is just miles ahead of him

and outside the ufc you have ofc fedor

The way I look at it, is aside from that "Loss" to Hamill, Jones is basically 14-0 in the UFC.

nor as many top 10 wins as GSP.

jones has beaten better competition, no doubt. evans, shogun, machida, gus, belfort, rampage, glover > serra, hughes, penn, shields, hardy, alves, diaz

The hatred for Jones will reach another level when he solidifies his case for GOAT.

i really hate getting into this but fedor is the most overrated fighter of all time. crocop and big nog are great wins but what other great wins does he have? don't say coleman or arlovski lol

Hes the gas of all time. Greatest arm span. (Horrible joke sorry.)

Anyways im cheering for dc but the goats always have as much haters in their career span as fans. Ten years he will be remembered fondly by everyone.

I think the Gus fight set him back a little. I mean you look at Andy and pretty much all his title defensives were extremely one sided. He had the Chael fight but he turned around and owned him in the rm.

Jones is good but he needs to go back to dominating guys if he wants GOAT status. If he beats Cormier, then RM's Gus and destroys him I think it would be reasonable to say he is GOAT status.

Jon jones doesn't have a matt serra

GSP was also tapped by Hughes, whereas Jones just rolled in and pwned the champ dominantly in his first title fight. Although there was no bad ass long time champ like Hughes for Jones to beat.

Not taking anything away from Georges' career, because it was without a doubt one of the greatest careers ever, but Jones is still so young and on a tear.

GSP had the first BJ fight, which was very similar to the Gus fight in many ways too. If Jones comes back and smashes Gus, that would be huge. Although it's hard to forget that Gus's biggest accomplishments are a close fight with the champ and a win over Shogun.

I give GSP the edge if Jones were to retire now. If he beats DC, Jones sneaks ahead.
