No. It's actually the most intelligent thing to do in the circumstances he's usually in.

I'm not sure what New Mexico's laws are, but most places in the civilized world will automatically charge you with DUI if you flee the scene and there is evidence to suggest you were intoxicated.

'use of telephone to annoy'?

i can understand harass, threaten etc. but should it really be a chargeable offense to annoy someone on the phone, even if on purpose?
 
The saddest part is that if he were a decent person who's not constantly getting himself in trouble outside of the Octagon, fans would unanimously agree that he's the GOAT. As a fighter, he arguably still is. But all his antics outside of the Octagon will really stain his legacy.

He didn't give a damn about her safety. He left a half-naked, half-conscious woman alone on a road at night. She was lucky that it was a police officer who found her, and not someone else...

And then he even threatened to kill the police officer. It's unbelievable.

If Jon wasn't connected to good lawyers it seems, and just a regular guy, he'd have been serving so much prison time by now.

His fiance seems to be a hostage in all this too sadly.

Exactly.

Jon can afford to pay well connected lawyers big money to get sweet deals. Then he agrees to a plea bargain to pay a big fine, do some community service, and he gets a suspended sentence. Then he just needs to behave during the suspended sentence.
 
Alot of people just want to hate on Jon for the sake of hating on him. But as a big fan of his I believe he is going thru some stuff at this point in his life perhaps mid-life crisis or something.

He needs help and I think maybe he has alcohol problems because 2 DWI in the span of what only 4 months is very dangerous. This suggests he is dealing with something. I think he drinks alot of alcohol currently to heal some inner wounds and maybe he is going thru some issues.

I truly hope Jon finds peace and gets back on his feet again. I wanna see him get some gig with UFC or commentator job or something.

Jon is geninuely a good guy who is just going thru some stuff

I'm surprised when this news first broke that there wasn't another charge for threatening to off cops

... guess after a few weeks they realized "hey yeah we can hit em for that too innit"
