Jonah Lomu Has Died

certainly Rugbys first transcendent Superstar.

One could only imagine how his career turned out without the Kidney desease.

RIP Big Man.

A real shame, I'm English and even I was in awe of how he smashed us in 1995

Yes I was talking about this last night, was so gutted to hear it. Celebrity/sports death don't normally affect me much, such a legend..and a bloody nice fella to boot. Came from poor surroundings and always remained humble.

I remember his specialist saying that if an ordinary man had been in Jonah's state at the 95 World Cup, they would have had trouble walking round the block.

At least he got to see NZ regain the world cup, as small and insignificant that is in the grand scheme of things.

I imagine most americans won't even know who he is...

This is really sad, Jonah Lomu is a legend. May he rest in peace.

Have you seen this? Sports day results from his college:

Still really sad about this. I've been watching old clips and making some Jonah gifs today, you obviously know what a beast he is, but when you haven't see the footage in a while you sort of forget just how much... 6 ft 5, 18st 10lbs (262 lbs) and he ran a 10.7 sec 100m time.

Americans might be interested to know that the Dallas Cowboys once tried to sign him.

And that 100m time was while he was still in high school.

Pure beast, and an absolute gentleman

He had a Ali and Tyson sort of career as shit hot in 1994/1995 then his Kidney problem surfaced and then came back just as strong in 1997 to 2000/2001 and then faded a bit.
If he didn't have that illness he would of being even more scary.
Bless.

He is almost gentle in the way he bumps off the last defender there, just slightly leans forward.
What an absolute freak. Even though he was already retired for some time, he is sadly missed.

He'll live forever in his legend.
