RIP, sad stuff. One of the few names from rugby that I am even aware of.

RIP.

Under the term "Beast mode" in the dictionary, there should only be one.

RIP

I remember watching a documentary about him on the plane ride to Mexico last year.

He was badass for sure. Rip.

i was so sad when i heard this.

i grew up playing union and idolising lomu.

i am thinking that i was lucky to see him play back in 2000 during one of the bledisloe matches in sydney when i was a kid.

A mighty one has fallen.

Like Hunto a good South Auckland Polynesian boy who was a terror to face in the sports arena but as humble and friendly as it gets to meet outside it.

RIP you absolute legend.

How did he die?

It seems to be unconfirmed at the moment, but he has had a 20 yr battle with a rare kidney disease that led to a kidney transplant some 10 years ago.
He played his entire career with the illness, I can only imagine how good he could have been without it.

He transcended the sport, and is a legend in the truest meaning of the word.

R.I.P and God Bless.

I'm absolutely gutted to wake up to this news, I grew up watching this beast destroy teams.

My heart goes out to his family.

Go Jonah.

Go on Jonah!

Go on JONAH!!

GO YOU GOOD THING!!!

I had a ticket for that great game but had to go back to England and watched it from my TV in newcastle gutted I wasn't there as that was the best Rugby game out of both code's I either saw (and I'm a Rugby League fan first).

Neverless R.I.P. big fellow.
