depends on if he can get him down, Lukes ground and pound is some of the best, he couldnt get Jan down , was out-muscled and eventually paid the price because he couldnt stand with him

The factor is if Jon would be able to take Izzy down, as Izzy said its not about the power but whether or not the power can be delivered to its target. Jon wasn't able to take Santos or Reyes down, why not? Jon doesn't have the same power as Jan to make lethal strikers like Santos/Reyes think twice about defending both the striking and TD. Izzy is a better striker than both fighters and he would pick him apart since he wouldn't have to worry about the non-power of Jones on the feet.

Because Santos and Reyes are much bigger and stronger the Israel and were able to use their power to shrug of JJ's take downs which Isreal will have absolutely no chance of doing given that Jon is an even better grappler then Jan's is. And this JJ pillow fist narrative needs to stop. Yes he is not a KO puncher by any means but their is a reason he is able to back fighters up and wear them down with his mix of strikes. You also forget to mention that JJ has an Iron chin and has faced much heavy punchers then Israel and also has a great gas tank that continues when other fighters fade. I don't think they will fight now that Israel has lost and that is good for Israel because if they ever did it is only a matter of time before Jon gets the takedown and we both know what happens then...Hellbows.

Izzy looks comically small next to a broad guy like Jan (esp viewed from the front) . He just isn't a LHW and needs to stay in his lane. Don't get me wrong he did well but Jan laid the blueprint. Izzy is now at a great disadvantage to any LHW with decent wrestling. Jon would make him look like Sean O'Malley.

I said this for the longest time. Jones can smash Izzy in the stand up and on the ground.. And I believe Jon would actually train for Izzy. He would be motivated for that fight. I suspect Jones barely trained for Reyes and Santos..
