Jon Jones was only paid $1,237,880 as a 6 time defending champion

@Myrddin Wild teh White hey did you see this info coming out recently... man I was way off in my assumptions with the pay of this UFC stars, I was too generous.

Jones 1.2 mill what the heck no wonder he was mad during those last negotiations.

Chael getting paid that little for the amount of work he put in to promote his fights is ridiculous. And he's a defender of fighter pay.

If you pay attention to Chael over the years you will understand how much of a company man he is, at first I respected his point of view because he also did promotion with his submission company and always talks big about showing up, always answering the call and honoring the deal you sign etc etc things good in essence but then again when dealing with scummy practices of Dana and co why the heck would you ever play fair cause they sure as hell don't.

So in recent years I'm completely off his bandwagon the man is a shill of the highest order anything to get a buck. Every time he opens his mouth against fellow fighters on pay issues.. at some point enough is enough we get it Dana's 1 million backroom bonus is nice if you kiss his behind 24/7 and do mad promotion for a card that probably generates the company 50 times more then what they pay you.

Yes, he said he'd sign a contract worth 15 million if I can recall. That isn't the same as getting paid 15 million per fight. He would have gotten 8 million to fight Jones, 7 digits is standard for well known champions in the UFC.

He is making more money with his current deal than 15 million.

It isn't outdated at all. Do you think everyone in MMA is in on some conspiracy? They make more money than their reported purses but are still way below the % that athletes usually make relative to their sport/promotion.

Their pay is very low compared to the money the UFC generates, that is plain as day.
A lot of guys are underpaid but Francis would've made good money.

He said himself if he'd signed a Champ contract he would've made $4m for Gane and $4m for Stipe 2 instead of the $500k he got by not signing a new deal, and then he ended up getting offered $8m for Jones that he declined.

1,000,000$ i guess that is something they make in NHL for one season in "low level"
You can't really compare to team sports, NHL is 82 game season it's a different format.

If you had fighters having a match every week they'd make bank.

Those numbers are terrible if they actually are including PPV points and/or any other bonuses.

Three things

1 it doesn't matter what someone "does for" someone else stealing is stealing

2 avoiding jail isn't worth multi millions avoiding prison is which is why rich people opt for civil suits from their victim that they themselves pay their victims out of pocket not their bosses

3 what on earth made you think it was probable that Dana "got him out of jail" your answer will determine rather or not you're two or single digit in, triple digits isn't in the question

I don't know what to say bud. At least you can count to three ok.

Dana (basically) told the press Jon makes an average of $5m/fight.

Jon (basically) confirmed. This was back before Jon went to HW and Jon was demanding more money.

It reminded me of when Rampage was bitching and Dana came out with copies $17m worth of checks. Rampage didn't deny it.

I'll look for sources.

EDIT: lots of sources passively discussing it, like this. I don't feel like tracking down each and every step of the history here, but it went something like this:
1. Jon demanded more money
2. Jon casually mentioned "like (insert boxer name here)"
3. Dana bashed Jon, saying (boxer) makes $30m per fight. "Jon is demanding $30m per fight! That's ludicrous!!!"
4. Jon denied he actually meant $30m/fight. But he wanted more than what he's been earning.
5. Dana said Jon currently makes over $5m/fight.
6. Jon basically admitted that was true, but still wants more.
7. Jon left LHW, said he was going to HW. Obviously in the hopes for more money.

Now, most of that is pretty uninteresting. Just your basic contract negotiating through the media. But...

...in this day and age of opaque earnings, when the promoter and the fighter agree that the fighter makes at least $5m/fight, folks who talk about fighter pay should probably acknowledge it.
Yes, almost a decade past 2011-2014

Don't you go using facts and common sense when minimum wage sherdoggers are trying to cry about another mans paycheck amount! Don't you know how Sherdog works??

I'd like to see them form a group and defend their point of view infront of an audience of fighters so the fighters can share their point of view.
that's easy. the first question would be "why did you sign up to be fleeced by a known scumbag?"

That a lot of draws off the petty cash to facilitate a blow habit prolly.

Hunter could learn a thing or too from a pro like Bones.

Its not. This is their total payout.
Eddie fucking Alvarez made $1 for each buy between 200,000 and 400,000 buys, $2 per buy between 400,000 and 600,000 buys, and $2.50 per buy over 600,000 buys. But you think Jones gets less than that?

My man, I think you need to re read the thread and what I have said in it.

I have not discredited anything you've said lol. Holy fuck I think you got me mixed with OP lolol

BTW- that @BLAHBLAH was a halfassed joke, re: OP... just sayin.

Oh shit, you're absolutely right, I had just got done replying to him, & somehow with you opening with his username, it musta triggered me to think it was him. I was in a hurry, and tired of talking to him, so I'm sorry that happened. Your post is almost opposite what I read now that I took the prior context out. Kinda funny how that worked out actually. Thanx for being cool about it.

These are all "disclosed" numbers though. PPV point payout changes these figures dramatically.

Holey Fook, they wanted Brock in a big way. I think that was the biggest "disclosed" payout in UFC history.
