I don't believe Daniel should be really high on GOAT list right now, for I believe Daniel is a heavyweight, who went down to LHW, got his ass kicked twice by Jon Jones, then moved up to challenge a heavyweight champion. The order of the accomplishments should not change on its appraisal of the value of those accomplishments. If Daniel Cormier beat Stipe for a heavyweight strap, then got his shit pushed in by Jon Jones in a clear fashion twice afterwards, would people be still trying to talk up the place for him on the mythical list of the greatest of all time?

I believe Jones is the most talented fighter of all time. I find it little hilarious but not surprised by double standards people place on a couple popular dick pill poppers, with a lot of people seem to try to talk up Anderson Silva, in spite of the fact him being the one who failed FIRST random drug testing of his career.

Also, Daniel Cormier is probably one of the best fighters to ever have competed in MMA as well, just can't really find it in me to place him up high on the list since he got destroyed twice by the same fighter.

Yet, the heavyweight division is the most coveted division, regardless of how non-heavyweights like Sonnen try to talk shit about it, because the best fighters, not in your fantasy or hypothetical settings, compete in it.

I always felt like Daniel Cormier would have a lot better chance at HW against Jon Jones, because I think Jon Jones had the size advantage at LHW, as I don't think Daniel found a way to retain his size while cutting weight to LHW, so it looked like he got dwarfed by Jon Jones, and he was the one who got muscled around in the clinch, but at HW, it won't happen like that, and Daniel would likely be the one who has the size advantage, and probably have a better punching power at heavyweight.

I never thought that DC would be able to avenge his loss because Jon Jones didn't look like he was moving up ever, and DC isn't young at all. However, as things stand, Jon Jones has everything gain to fight DC at heavyweight division, and nothing to lose.

If this fight happens, this fight would be between the most talented fighter ever to have competed in the UFC, the undefeated fighter, putting aside his dq against Hamill by elbowing his face into the ground, and against the fighter who is a dual champion, and who have never lost a fight in heavyweight division in his career.

For me, the first fight between two, was one of those rare superfights, that happens once in a long time, between the best that the MMA business is able to offer to the fans at that point in time. I didn't find the second fight that appealing at all, because there didn't seem to be any reason whatsoever there would be a different outcome than the first. However, at heavyweight, I feel like DC can avenge his loss, whether Jon Jones is coming in at 100 percent or hot.

I think DCs only chance of being considered better somehow is if he was better then Jon Jones at heavyweight. Not having to cut weight you would think helps Cormier more than Jones. They were closely matched at LHW. I think Jones beats him at HW and will prove better than DC again in short. However DC and Jones are probably the best the MMA fighters to ever fight eachother.

No telling really. By the time Jon is eligible to return DC will most likely be gone.

Not that big
DC is 0-2

Khabib X Conor would be the biggest

How many times do we need to see Jones take his soul?

I dont buy this PED bs. Jones will always be the better fighter. This match up goes the same way every time and DC is 40 years old now.

In terms of buyrates Conor vs. Khabib is bigger.

Conor vs. Ferguson is probably bigger too.

If GSP beat Nate at LW. Then fought Conor. That would be the biggest fight ever. Since we’re talking about fights that likely will not happen.

If Jones hadn't boned it would be Jones vs Brock.

Maybe if they were 1 and 1.

And that is not likely to happen.

Not even close. In fact, I doubt it even breaks 750k.
Look, Jones has beat DC decisively twice (only the hardcores care that he used PED's to do it). The first fight both were undefeated so it was interesting to everyone. The second fight was a built in "revenge" storyline. Can DC find redemption? That sort of thing.
Champ vs. champ fights (or champ vs. ex champ in this case) only work when you have 2 fighters that people HIGHLY care about. Miocic, the most successful UFC HW EVER vs. DC, an all time great, did SHIT numbers.
Jones has never been the super bankable star that people seem to act like he is. He barely averages 750k for a normal fight. And truthfully, I think a lot of people moved on or lost interest. Plus, in the minds of the general population (once again NOT hardcores, but the casuals), they've already seen it twice.
750k. That's the number.

DC is gonna be about 53 years old by the time Jones is eligible to fight. But that being said, Jones has decisively beaten DC twice so I can't agree.

Jonathan doesn't deserve the hematch.
