Jon most certainly was fortunate to enter the UFC with little difficulty and made the absolute most out of that golden ticket. Man was a fucking force up until his last couple fights. Him and DJ are still who I consider the most well rounded MMA fighters of all time. If not for the constant PED controversies it'd be pretty unanimous that he's the GOAT.

Benson is a 4x UFC champ, 3x WEC champ, and has big wins outside his reigns. His resume is deeper than Khabib’s.

The only argument Khabib has is general dominance and the fact he went undefeated.
 
A guy who went 5 rounds with Al and beats FWs isn't the goat.

A guy who got 3 dodgy decisions and multiple PED pops isn't the goat

Jon Jones was clearly the best fighter to ever fight for the UFC, but the legitimacy of his conquests is rightfully in doubt.

Unfortunately for Khabib, he cannot even enter the GOAT conversation. All he has are hypotheticals, by his own choice.

As far as Jones goes, every and any fighter puts him on top and they all know that he was on roids. Just goes to show his level. They sure helped, but he was not the only one using them. And however hard it is do admit that, he is just insanely skilled fighter. Level of competition on lenght of reign are unmatched. Man was going against experienced beasts in title fights since he was 23. There is no one who was even close to that.

Jon is a fighting genius but also a serial cheater. From eye pokes to peds. Btw, he’s extremely insecure and a huge egomaniac to still be obsessed with Khabib.

Khabib performed consistently better than Benson despite less time in the UFC. Beat overall better comp. Was dominant against a better generation of lightweights. Benson is a great LW but the bulk of his success came from beating guys like Diaz, Miller, Thomson, and Guida. Some of whom he had very close decisions with. All fighters who I admire but none on the level of the modern LW roster. Dropping fights to RDA (Just after Khabib beat him) as well as Cowboy and Pettis doesn't help him either. His LW career is largely held up by his 2 fights with Frankie who is a great fighter but obviously at a huge disadvantage against the bulk of his LW peers prompting his FW move.

I rate the current LW division very highly which is why I'd never admonish the old guard. They were and still are phenomenal fighters. But the division improved and if I'm looking at top wins vs top wins, I pick Khabib every time.

Aldo vs Khabib is a toss up for me and I tend not to rate PED users because eeeeeeeh. But Fedor is the fucking man.

Aldo got KOd by Conor, TKOd 2x by Max, and beat soundly by Volk, he isnt even the GOAT of his own division. Losses matter when comparing fighters.
 
Jones has a point about Khabib, but not one about himself. It isn't that his cheat-heavy, eyepoking, roid-popping run is so great- it's that Khabib's is so minimal.
