Jon Jones is absolutely right, it's hilarious how people were on Gane's nuts a couple of months ago and after Jones dispatched him without any problem people accuse Gane of being a can.

Miocic is an all time great HW and beating his ass would be more important than beating a guy like Aspinal that hasn't achieved anything close to Miocic.

Aspinal also isn't old as dirt, coming off a brutal KO, and multiple years inactive. The Stipe fight meant something years ago. Now it's just a stupid way to manufacture a low risk retirement fight

Aspinall had his chance for the title but he lost against Curtis, now he's bitter and crying.

Gane got his title shot instead of Aspinall because Aspinall lost against Curtis.

Young, few fights in the UFC, yet couldn't even stay healthy against Curtis. It's his own problem.

Aspinall would beat both Stipe and Jones at the same night. They know it and are avoiding him like the plague.

Aspinall called for Jones to be stripped because he knew that Jones would have no comeback for it. He can't just 'fight' Aspinall because he would get hurt.

Jones doesn't have faith in his abilities to fight the top contenders at heavyweight. Neither did Cormier when he won the heavyweight belt as well.

Aspinall only said something this disrespectful to potentially get a chance for Jones to agree to fight him. He's doing the right thing. Given the circumstances, this is appropriate to put pressure on Jones for being a paper heavyweight champ.

And as for Jones being a goat, even if you give him the benefit of the doubt, it is NEVER okay to cherry pick and pad your record when you own a ufc belt. You need to defend it against the top contenders AT ALL TIMES. Otherwise, give up the belt, fight Stipe, and retire or something. True fans of valid mma don't give a shit about this BS 'goat vs goat' fake crap.

Well considering Jon just moved up to heavyweight, he's already got a better win in Gane than aspinall has on his entire resume.

Not to mention he has fought Daniel Cormier twice. Who was a Heavyweight champion.

There was no legitimate fight. The champ had left. No fighter that they picked could’ve won the belt without questions of the legitimacy of the belt. Even if Gane beat Jones in a dominating fashion it would’ve been pointed out he had no HW fights blah blah blah.
