If Dana throws A BAG at Stipe... to fight Tom.

That's the best scenario for the division. It puts credibility into the lineage of the belts. Either Jon fights the winner or will forever be looked at as a paper champ. If Tom wins ans Jones retires, it's easy to strip Jon and make Tom undisputed. If Stipe wins it makes the Jones fight even bigger and with more credibility.

For Stipe it is a win win. He's still HW goat even if he loses to Jones. Stipe is not in his prime. North of 40. If Stipe wins, then he truly cements the HW goat status. So all his risk is in the Aspinall fight which is why it will take a big payday.

snitched on other fighters to get a half sentence... and came back 'pulsing' and was the first fighting ever to be given a green light to test positive for traces of steroids on account of past usage.

Not to mention the Arrests, finance beating, hit n run on pregnant woman... etc

Tl, DR - Jones should step up and fight Tom, or just keep quiet.

That's a possibility, but it would only haunt him if Jones were able to beat Aspinall and he were confident he's able to do so.

It won't haunt him if he he isn't. If he doesn't think he can beat Tom, then taking the easy W against 42 year old Stipe won't bother him at all, he'll sleep just fine at night.

A win over Stipe is going to be more beneficial to him than a loss to Aspinall would be. If Aspinall were to win against Jones, then all it does is help his own Legacy and hurt Jon's.

He aint exactly wrong, he is in MMA GOAT discussions for a reason, would Aspinall beat him at HW? Probably, Jones is a career LHW that made the move late in his career to HW, chances are a younger and naturally bigger prospect might beat him, he did perform against a top HW tho, with flying colors.

Call me crazy, but I believe Jones genuinely feels threatened by Aspinall.

I see Tom stopping him if the fight ever happens.

Stipe doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the belt. Aspinall and Pavlovich were basically the number 1 and 2. Aspinall's belt is very legit.

Who was? That was the same guy making all the Gane predictions threads, and everyone else pretty much unanimously said if Gane can get taken down at will and LnP'd by Ngannou, Jones shouldn’t have any trouble holding him down or subbing him.

OF COURSE Jones responds. Rarely have I seen anyone so Twitter-happy as Jon, policing the internet and social media to sniff out any shade thrown at him so he can respond in kind, or should I say unkind.

But I do agree with him (who would have thought that possible?) that Tom is dictating pronouncements pretty grandly and freely, for someone whose interim belt is so recently earned that it hasn't lost its new leather smell yet.
