Smart move for some of you. You dig opportunism, you think it's shrewd and badass and legit. My opinion on that is that of CroCop's, cutting weight is a bit cowardly, especially when you go to great lengths to avoid fighters who weigh as much as you do year-round. I know there's a whole cult behind Jon Jones, but what would his record look like if he had fought, clean or otherwise, the heavys?

There also arises something really hypocritical and disgustingly irrational and twisted amongst some who say ''Jones would have owned heavys...''. Oh really? Why did he avoid them like the plague? Fans bring up the heavys before I do. They claim he'd own them... How twisted is that? When he spent his life running from them with his tail between his legs.

Surely there's something to be said about that when you consider his legacy.

Jon Jones is the basketball equivalent of Dejan Bodiroga. Bodiroga did not want to be a bum in the NBA, so he stayed in Euroleague for 15 years to be their biggest star. That's fine! But then you have idiotic fans who say ''he would have owned the NBA guys...'' - - Jones would have owned the heavys? He'd rather be a goat to idiots at light heavy, than a bum in heavy. Don't lose sight on that.

Again..u just made a thread about this shit..

White belts these days.. SMH..

If you can make 205 you are a LHW. Real simple

I don't mind that he's cutting weight. If you can make it, that's your class.

But I just don't want fighters talking about heavier guys if they won't fight them.

That's actually my biggest problem with Colby. I felt like tony would have actually fought Werdum in that one interview they did together that went sour. Colby proved he absolutely would not engage someone he was actively trashing. Not my thing

yeah, that's your idealogical position, you're stubborn like a taliban, but my point is broader than simply that, im talking about his year-round weight and his fear of the guys that weigh as much as he does year-round, don't just be a stiffnecked imbecile

kid, every fuckinmg fighter that is not at HW division cuts weight.

Stop with the stupid hate about one guy when all other fighters do the fucking same thing.

amen, those manlets acting tough around bigger guys, than being like women ''u cant touch me im a woman/im a child/im a manlet''

and for most of its history the Kingdom of Croatia was subordinate and junior to the Kingdom of Hungary.

There are a TON of legitimate criticisms of Jon Jones.

That he didn’t fight in his weight class isn’t one of them.

In fact, it’s one of the dumbest things that people on Sherdog say.

Did he ever miss weight?

No?

Then shut the fuck up.

There are so many other more valid criticisms of Jones. Weight cutting isn't really one because everybody outside of HW (and some of them too) cuts weight.

maybe you need to shut the fuck up dickhead. You morons hanging on his balls are the first to say he'd own the heavys, OH YEAH? He fears them and goes to great lengths to avoid them fuckwit.

You realize his nickname is "Bones" right? Have you seen his legs? I think he would struggle at HW personally and don't blame him for not moving up, shouldn't talk about something you aren't going to do though.

Jones has figured it out. He'd be a badass light heavyweight instead of a can heavyweight. So let's not lose sight on that. Idiots saying he'd beat the heavys need to have their heads checked and reminded what time it is...

You seem pretty dumb.

Like, aggressively dumb.

Jones is probably one of the lighter LHW fighters. I'd go so far as to say that almost everyone in the division, and probably everyone he fought besides Machida, all were heavier on fight night.

He made LHW so many times, and as far as I remember he was never even close to missing weight.
So he's a LHW in my eyes.

The fighting at a lower weight than your natural weight applies to most guys in all weight classes except HW.

You hate to be reminded that you're the one that goes out and says Jones owns the heavys... and that actually he does a great job of cutting to be somebody, cuz at his actual weight he's just a can
